How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
The main factor is space and the current condition of the roof itself. Repairs may need to be made before conversions start.
Run us through the different stages in the loft conversion process - what’s involved?
1) Asbestos awareness along with Access and Egress to the loft space are the first factors I look at. Stairs, landings , loft hatches with ladders etc.
2) Then I focus on the flooring substrate - reinforced, rafter boards, insulation, services inlets (on suit etc)
3) Natural lighting Velux roof windows needed?
4)Walls - plumbing, gas, electrics, sockets - any extras? Wardbrobe/ cupboards - then the insulation and configuration of the walls.
5) Finishings - plastering - decoration painting, carpet etc
What do you love most about your job?
Everyday is different. Seeing the end result in hearing and seeing my clients joy once a project is completed.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My parents, had a huge inspiration on me whilst growing up as they both had their own businesses. My wife and children.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
During the pandemic, I was involved with the Nightingale project - so I was always working with the NHS. Since then I have seen the raw effects that Covid had. I ensure that all my employees are covid free by testing frequently and ensuring all our tools and ppe is adequately clean. Also I have adopted a very concise communication strategy, I liase with all my clients from start, during and completion.
