What inspired you to start your own business?
'The desire to get out and about, meet people and really get involved in all aspects of a project. I've now run my own business for over 25 years so have a vast amount of experience in all types of domestic project.'
Why should our clients choose you?
The company founder (Graham Madigan) has around 30 years experience as an Architect and has completed 100's of domestic projects as well as much larger, more complex projects. He is also registered with the Architects Registration Board and a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects for added peace of mind.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
We can provide all services online with the exception of measuring-up the existing house (necessary to produce base drawings unless these can be provided). This is extremely advantageous for us in terms of time/cost so helps keep our prices down.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We are set-up to offer remote initial consultations and can undertake the initial building survey unaccompanied if preferred. All subsequent communication can them be via email / Zoom.
Remote Consultation
All projects can initially be assessed remotely using a combination of Google and our experience of what can normally be done on most type of property. This saves time, uses less fuel, reduces Covid-risk and helps keep our costs down.
Survey & Sketch Design
If appointed we will need to either survey your property or be provided with existing drawings. Once we have these we can prepare sketch designs to explore options and help you get the most from your scheme. These will be presented as a combination of 2D and 3D drawings to help you fully understand the design.
Planning Applications
We can advise on all aspects of planning legislation and help to prepare and submit the necessary applications. We are experienced in dealing with Prior Approval, Certificate of Lawfulness, Householder Applications, Full Planning Applications and Listed Building Applications.
Building Regulations Compliance
Following receipt of planning permission we can prepare drawings and notes for building regulations compliance. These will be submitted and any queries dealt with to ensure works progress smoothly on site.
Full Construction Details & Tender Packages
For more complex projects or where you (or your builder) just require more information, we can prepare full construction packages. These may include large scale construction details, electrical and lighting layouts, ceiling plans, joinery drawings, bathroom drawings, door schedules etc. With our experience of 'high-end' projects (£1million+) we are geared-up too produce very detailed packages of information for the most complex of projects.
Construction phase works
During the construction stage we can remain involved in a number of ways of required. This could just be an occasional site visit to check own progress/quality or acting as 'Contract Administrator' to manage the Contract, issuing instructions and certificates in relation to requests for payment.
