I used BARK to get some quotes for a house clearance of my late mum’s home. I had 3 responses very quickly however the other 2 wanted me to take photos of the items to be moved. As this was a recent bereavement I really didn’t want to have to take photos. Harry was very quick at responding & gave me a verbal quote which I was more than happy with. We arranged a suitable date & time & Harry confirmed this by txt. On the morning of the clearance he had a quick look around & confirmed what we had agreed on & I left them to get on … he called me 30 mins before they were due to finish up so I had time to get back & check everything. On my return Harry took time to let me walk around and make sure I was satisfied with the end result. After calling a few other companies for quotes and recieving preliminary estimates only.... I took to BARK to see if I would get a more forthcoming response from companies to clear and clean a 1 bed groundfloor flat ready for sale. I received a quick response from Harry quoting several different options, all final figures (no added extras, net vat etc) . Settled for a full clearance including lifting carpets with an additional deep clean. Prompt date for clearance organised and confirmed within the hour of first contact. Scheduled for the following week. Met Harry with keys the morning of the clearance had a quick look around with him to reconfirm what we had agreed and left happily reassured that the job was in safe hands. On my return both Harry and his colleague took time to let me walk around and make sure I was and am more than satisfied with the end result. I enjoy my job as I’m always helping people whether we are clearing a home due to bereavement or helping someone declutter there existing home we like to help and ask customers if they would like the good we remove sent to charities of there choice or disposed of in another way after all it is there choice personal items always have meaning and memories that’s why we always let customers make the choice
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started my own business to put customers first after working for other larger companies I have seen first-hand how customers were treated.
