Elichia at Hare and Howl Floristry provided the flowers for our wedding in July 2019. We were completely delighted with the wedding flowers, bouquets and buttonholes provided. The bouquets lasted all day without wilting, and were wonderfully arranged, taking account of our colour and flower requests. Hare & Howl made a wonderful sensory arrangement for me as a gift for my beautiful sister who was in hospital and has really been very poorly. My sister is totally blind so the arrangement had to be visible to her in a different way. It was more than I could have, Imagined. The pot was a rugged but classy, textured design of neutral stone which would grace any home. The flower and herb arrangement was not only delightful to see, but smelled so amazing with cleverly thought out detail. My sister was amazed, she could smell the scent in the room but when she touched and rubbed the individual leaves she could get lovely individual scents of sage, rosemary, chocolate mint and lemon, eucalyptus and so much more. The arrangement had been set so that the display lasted for almost 3 weeks. My sisters words were “I love the way my room smells and when I touch the leaves and grasses and smell the smells, I feel life and being outdoors, I just love it, it’s amazing and so specialL. So... What do you love most about your job?
Working as a florist is a dream job come true and I am incredibly fortunate. I love the creativity the job demands and find it thrilling to try new ideas. Working with a couple to make their visions and dreams a reality for one of the most important days of their life is an honour which I will never take lightly. Flowers provide so much love, life and nature that you can't help but feel happy in their presence.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Starting my own business is something that I have always dreamed of doing. My family have worked with plants and flowers my whole life which has always been a source of inspiration for me. Working with flowers and foliage feels natural to me and I love sharing what I create. The best part about starting my own floristry business is not just working with stunning flowers but the creative elements that go into all areas of the business.
