I would like to thank the manager for his personal touch .. apart from his excellent service he went above and beyond after he found out That i had been born at Hardwick Hall he kindly showed me the exact journey of my mother on arriving at the what was originally a maternity hospital to the exact spot where I was born , and the room where I stayed on my first night as a new born. He then showed me where the maternity ward used to be and where my father could of come up to the window to see me ( as dads were not allowed in ) ... it was a very emotional journey made extra special as it is coming up to my 60th birthday and I had my daughter and granddaughter with me. My partner and I stayed here for a early birthday treat and booked the gourmet getaway the room was perfect literally not a single fault, the evening meal was delightful and breakfast was perfect the bottle of prosecco was a lovely touch. Visited the Beer Garden yesterday and whilst a brilliant idea in theory it doesn’t quite seem to translate especially in the quality that should be expected. .. £5.50 a pint and £2.00 for half a coke which was actually not Diet Coke but bottled ‘rolla cola’... food from ‘The Impeccable Pig’ looks like your standard bacon buttie and burger van in fact there was nothing ‘special’ from the vans you would expect to be of a high standard from a venue such as this... disappointed More...

Booked a Christmas Event which was then cancelled. Told I would receive a refund within 7-10 working days, now past that. Still no refund, rang & incredibly unwilling to help . No resolution or time frame given on when I may receive the refund, a lot of money to be out of pocket by and nothing to show for it. More...

Do not recommend this place as it will be holding a Hunt Meet on New Years Day, in light of the webinars showing The Hunting Office telling hunts how to create a “smokescreen” to hide their illegal activities, they should not be allowing any hunts on their properties.

Had an overnight stay at this lovely hotel part way through a 2 week road trip and after staying at a variety of other places. Whilst all the staff we met at Hardwick Hall were great I have to say that Holly Sayers stood out as she gave us really warm and friendly welcome and couldn't have been more helpful during our short stay. We absolutely loved afternoon tea today for my Birthday treat , everything was perfect Setting , food and Service ( Jack ) he’s a credit to you for a young guy he was great We also felt very safe and Comfortable with all your Covid precautions in place ! ! If you are looking for good food and service give this a miss. Just had Sunday lunch here, never to be repeated. Not only are staff untrained in the track and trace app (worrying)! The food was Luke warm, the veg hard (blanched would be too complimentary). A mature member of serving staff called across from a different table to us, rude. I couldn’t wait to get out of the place. They brought a complimentary soda and lime! Say 3p cost to them, which I didn’t drink on principle. So much for a birthday treat! Some serious need for training here across health and safety, customer service and teaching the veg chef how to cook veg. They did offer to recook new veg which would arrive 15 mins after our dinner (no offer to take the meal back) Sadly I’m not joking or exaggerating! More...
