Had our 1st session today with Emily as we’ve recently adopted a rescue from Bulgaria with a really strong prey drive, I learnt so much in this session, everything made perfect sense and I now feel confident that I have the knowledge I need to make progress with Pippa, Emily clearly understands this issue and that was really important to me when looking for a trainer. Emily has been working with my little fur baby Chester and myself for a few weeks now, and I cannot thank her enough... Chester is only 15 weeks now but already we have mastered sit, down, watch me, with me, and find it. still more work for me to do moving forward, but I couldn't have done it without the insights and patience of Emily. We have been having puppy training sessions with Emily and they have been fantastic! Emily’s has so much knowledge and looks at all aspects of training from different angles. She has helped us to create hand signals as well as verbal for our Dally pup. I’m so glad we started early as I feel we are really on a roll now. I’ve only had 1 session with Emily but I can’t believe how easy she made everything seem considering my dog is an absolute menace🤣she made me feel like we weren’t completely lost with our dog and we may actually get him to behave in some sort of reasonable manner🤣thanks so much Emily🥰

We have been with Haigh Hounds from the start. The initial attraction was a solo walk, with attention given to our dog only. Since then we have been delighted with the service we have had. Haigh Hounds are always thinking about how to improve what they provide. For example where to take my dog on his walks for a different experience, ie playing in the water, or having him meet up with other similar dogs for a playday. Providing video and pics that reassure us, that our boy is having the best time! Recently, Emily involved us with scent training for our dog, which is a really good thing for him, as he needs lots of brain stimulation. He loved it, and literally crashed afterwards. We love the fact that HH offer special little things like this which we think make such a difference. They seem to genuinely care about the dogs they look after. Haigh hounds have been amazing! We have only had a few training lessons. Working on Loose lead, and other little areas. Sniffing work and getting Louie to speak when he should ( not all the time 🤣 ) The difference in such a short time is amazing! First puppy training session for Dexter and me with Emily together. Emily walks Dexter most weeks for us and showed me what she has been doing to promote loose lead and engagement so we can continue this training at home. Emily is so good with our lab Retreiver. Our dog can be very hyper and strong and Emily really brings out the best in her! She gets very long walks and always comes home tired. I came across Emily from walking a little dog near mine and her excellent reviews she’s taken on Lola and keeps me updated with photos and videos and she’s very honest which a lot of people are not, Lola loves to go on her walks with Emily and comes back one happy dog and totally exhausted is what a spaniel loves Thankyou so much Emily and Thankyou from Lola for walking her and especially now it’s needed with circumstances with my little boy x

I would highly recommend Emily at Haigh Hounds to anyone! Our cocker spaniel, wasn’t the best on the lead and wasn’t the best at being on her own in the house. Emily walks her Weds,Thurs and Fri and Lottie absolutely adores her! Her progression on the lead is outstanding and she is no longer anxious about staying on her own. Emily always gives me an update after every walk on how she’s got on followed with some photos, which is just a great personal touch. Emily came into our lives River, Jillys and mine by chance and I can honestly say it’s a true saying help finds you when you need it the most. We myself and these 2 amazing dogs my soul mates are going through one of the most difficult times in mine and their lives. River the youngest was completely out of control! Sent me to A&E on numerous occasions, I also have chronic Arthritis and every day was getting harder and harder to the point I had decided I needed to rehome her which was completely breaking me knowing in September she would be gone And in came Emily who my daughter had mentioned to me just by chance. She almost tore Emily’s arm off on the first meeting and sadly I thought yep she’s totally broken bye bye Emily someone else who will not come back! Emily didn’t give up 😲 she came just 3 days later and took my gorgeous girl on board. Still I waited for the sorry I can’t work with her. Well I’m totally blown away after just 1 session Emily had her behaving and willingly doing as she should! So I approached my evening walk with dread last night but took control. Sat cleared my head, garden got 5 minutes to calm River and with trepidation opened the gate. In 13 months I have never walked anywhere just been dragged and in absolute agony. Poor Jilly not knowing what the hell is happening. I cried walking along I was so happy not just for me but for my sweet girl. Yes she tried but just remembering everything Emily said through tears I remained calm and River responded. I came home with 2 very calm girls ecstatic and balled my eyes out with relief! Emily you not only saved River you saved me and Jilly from loosing her forever I will be forever grateful I know she has a long way to go but I know now she is not broken and she is also on this long difficult journey with me and feeling it. But with your amazing understanding and training and support we can remain a family. Anyone who calls on Emily not only finds a dog trainer they find a true lady who listens and cares not just about the dogs but the owner and genuinely takes on board the whole situation. My two need continued training whilst being walked, this was apparent with previous walkers so I’m overjoyed to have found someone who continues with training whilst out in their daily walks.
