It's amazing they have any customers at all when their customer service reps send you into a endless loop of requesting and receiving the same information. In the time I've been trying to get a response from them, someone has already been, done the work, and gone. Maybe they just don't need the business Edit Apparently the email address on the website isn't in use going by the response below... Which is very odd considering I received replies from their apparently non-existent customer service on the @guttervacni.co.uk address... Came out to look at leaking chimney. Spent 20 minutes up of roof and said they couldn't see any problems and left. All this for a £99 call out charge. I think in a situation like this when they don't do any work or attempt to find leak I think £99 is a rip off. More...

Hi Niall, Sorry to hear you feel this way. The £99 call out charge is to cover travel time, fuel, public liability insurance, employee liability insurance, company tax, equipment use and covers up to 60mins labour for two employees. The employees carried out investigation of the areas that they could safely gain access. They advised that one area of the chimney could not be accessed safely without the hire of a cherry picker as it was the equivalent to 3 storeys. They also advised that Thompsons water seal could be used as a starting point to keep costs down. Unfortunately, finding water leaks is not straightforward as the source of the leak is often difficult to locate and is usually a trial and error process. We would be happy carry out further investigation if a suitable cherry picker is hired to facilitate further investigation. The call out fee was explained before anyone was dispatched. It is always a possibility that the reported issues will not be resolved after initial investigation and further investigation would be required as there are so many variables to consider. After searching for a Company in N.I. that cleans roofs, I came across the name Guttervac.ni. I was contacted by the owner Dwyane Beattie and I arranged an appointment and price to clean my roof. He arrived at the appointed time with one of his staff and the job was carried out with precision. The work was carried out on Weds 11th Nov 2020, and it was one of the worst days of the year. However, Dwyane and his co worker worked tirelessly all day with only a short break to scrape all the moss off my roof. They returned today, Thursday, to treat the roof with Biocides to discourage any further growth. May I say that Dwyane is truly a well mannered young man. All he wants to do is to carry out a professional job. He actually went beyond his brief and cleaned my carport roof at no extra charge. I do not normally do reviews but he really impressed me so much with his ability to please. I would encourage everyone who reads this not to go past this special person. We recently had GutterVacni at our home doing the guttering, downspouts and fascia board and we were extremely pleased with the finished result. The end result was very clean with no mess at all.
