What kind of accounting services do you provide?
Anything from annual accounts, tax returns, VAT returns through to tax advisory and planning services.
Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?
Your job is to run and grow the business and be passionate about your industry - the finances are soooo important in a business but not necessarily the best use of your time! That is where we come in to provide as little or as much support as you need. Not only do we assist with the practical finances and filings, we also work with you to set key goals and metrics and work hard with you to achieve the very best you can.
What do you love most about your job?
I absolutely love getting to know new clients and their business and share in their passion. Tax is my passion and I hope that I am able to make somebody else's life easier and less stressful by making tax understandable.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have worked in varying different sized businesses - more recently as a partner in a medium to large sized firm. I found that, ultimately, I was not able to provide the hands on service to my clients that I wanted. That's when I decided to take things into my own hands and create my own destiny - like so many of you out there already running your own business!

Simply put - because you will not find anyone else who is as passionate, friendly and approachable, and backed up by an awesome team of like minded people. We have worked hard at GTP to create a network of contacts who we are confident working with because we know them and they are just like us.

We are also very forward thinking and use as much cloud and digital technologies as we can - so in short it does not matter where you are in the UK, or abroad.
Tax - Employed, Self-employed, Corporates, Property Portfolios
Personal Tax - from tax returns to advice on mitigation and dealing with HMRC.
Corporation tax - tax returns and mitigation of taxes along with general tax planning.
Capital Gains Tax - advisory, preparing CGT calculations and completing CGT returns.
Inheritance Tax - advisory and general planning and mitigation.
Corporate planning including advising and implementing re-organisations of structures, assisting with business succession planning and exiting shareholders.
EIS - assisting companies wishing to raise finance and use the EIS scheme to encourage investors, and also advice for investors using the scheme and claiming all associated tax reliefs.
R & D - assisting companies identify where R & D is being carried out and then putting together all supporting documentation to make a successful claim to HMRC.
Property - advising on all property related taxes from capital gains on sale to tax treatment of rental income, and planning.
SDLT - advice on stamp duty in particular transactions.
