I have been Training with Gary for just over three weeks and already seeing results. The App is great in providing structured workouts and the weekly check ins provide feedback and accountability. And accountability does work, why else would I have been in the gym before 8am on a Sunday. The Community Group also provides added support and motivation. I’ve been on the Train With Gary female fitness plan for 7 weeks now and it’s fantastic. After a year or so of being in the gym purely focused on cardio - this programme has helped me introduce weights sessions into my workouts and is finally helping me achieve my goals. Gary is great in helping me understand where my focus needs to in order to get the most out of the programme and his knowledge of nutrition has meant I now understand what my body needs to be able to thrive. I started training with Gary when Pure Gym opened in Thornbury (2015 I think). He was always there first thing and always so friendly so plucked up the courage to ask about PT sessions. Best PT I have had!! I’d trained with a few other PTs previously, but no one compares to Gary. I have learnt so much from Gary over the years, Ive tried so many new things. Gary was always so accommodating with my early starts and understood my trigger points for going off track. He coached me and taught me how to deal with these. He helped me lose 10kg and gave me the confidence to work out in the free weights area on my own which I never thought would happen. Having bought a house and getting married this year I was absolutely gutted to stop training with Gary. I’m now putting everything he’s taught me into practice on my own. Only ever done 2 of Gary's classes (cycle and LBT) wow!!! Feels like you've done the full class in just the warm up!!! As someone who has had multiple personal trainers, I can tell you they are not all created equal. Many can actually be detrimental to your body with improper technique.
Not the case with Gary... I've had maybe 10 sessions with Gary now and he monitors you closely during a training session, such as exercise selection, exercise order, sets and reps, rest times and technique. I have a well designed and easily accessible workout and nutrition plan which I follow when I train on my own. There a short videos on the work we will be doing in our session and this helps me to prepare mentally. I had bad knees and these were made worse during exercises like squats. Not any more, the pain is actually much improved because with Gary's help my technique is correct. He is the most affable person and genuinely cares about your goals. Gary has
motivated me to turn up ready to train hard and achieve my goals. He encourages you throughout your sessions and makes you train beyond your normal capabilities. Most important is that the sessions are fun because Gary and I have great banter during the session but he never loses focus and the session flies by. I've just signed up for another programme. Try him, you won't regret it!

During my training with Gary, he helped me recover from a nasty MCL tear and got me back to full fitness. He was so attentive to my rehab programme given by my physio and also including upper body work outs which I’ve struggled with in the past. Over a 6 week period, I regained strength and the confidence to start lifting again. He was absolutely amazing and always goes above and beyond to help all his clients. What inspired you to start your own business?
In 2014 I was working within the IT Sector, and living for the weekend.
I had attended the gym for a couple of years and lost a significant amount of weight (5 Stone), colleagues and friends started asking for advise, which at that point I was not qualified to give, but started to learn.
I quickly realised that I loved helping others and they were also seeing some great results.
When we moved to Yorkshire later that year, GRS Fitness was born.

Online Coaching
121 Online Coaching offer clients the opportunity to be coached 121 with one of our coaches. This is a great alternative to 121 sessions if you are experienced within the gym environment. This is also a more cost effective offering
