I purchased a weight bench roughly a month ago. Living in Cyprus, the delivery options were a bit complicated. But Mike at Gorilla Sports was truly excellent with his support to complete a non-standard approach, going the extra mile to help me get it done. The product itself is great, as was the price. Received a weights package (100 kg) as a present, loved it so much I bought some more stuff and, thanks to Mike's excellent customer service when dealing with an order error at my end, will be buying from these guys again in the future.

Communication is extremely poor unless you open a case with PayPal.Finally got products on Next Day Service once I opened the case with PayPal and they actioned this at around 7pm. They had no warning on their website that they were on "Holiday until the 16th April", and nothing at checkout either. Couldn't leave a voicemail after message and email was bouncing back (use direct URL mailto: from their website) and tried numerous times with same response from their server.The goods have been received so thank you for this and I am just unboxing them now - look great so far.If you want to succeed make sure that next time you have a holiday, just put a notice up on the homepage (popup), that says "We are currently away from the office and there may be a slight delay processing your order" This will then assist customers on whether to purchase from you or not, or at least make them aware that it could be a little while.Keep them informed via e-mail confirmation on the top of the order in bright red, just in case they didn't visit home URL and got there via an external link.Cheers - overall 4* due to battle with comms. Bought a squat rack for £80, which is VERY inexpensive as these things go. Build is perfectly adequate for medium heavy home use, although web page says max loading to be 500kg, the manual in the box states 100kg and, without a doubt, the manual is correct. This is, I suspect, unintentionally misleading, but the potential for ugly accidents when shifting 100 kg+ barbells is considerable. My own view is that 100 kg is playing it safe, but I wouldn't go above 140 kg and even then I'd be VERY careful and do so knowing the manufacturer doesn't recommend it.Specifically, these lack the mass not to shift back a little when a heavy barbell is returned, don't have a wide enough footprint not to tip back slightly and these are bolted together, not welded. For something better you'll need to look at something 3x the price, which was why I kept them. More...
