My hair has never been so perfect. I have a curly and difficult to manage hair. I asked for a low maintenance haircut as I don't have too much time for styling. I picked Zoe to cut my hair based on reviews and her description on Ken Picton's webpage. And I am sooo happy with my choice. Zoe is a brilliant hairdresser. I wasn't sure what haircut to go for but she guided me, advised me the best possible haircut for my hair type. She did a brilliant job and I can say she is a perfectionist. I chose Paul to dye my hair. I wasn't sure what I want, what would look good, I just knew I want a natural look (even to get back my original hair colour) and to get rid of the yellowish tone of my previously (home) dyed hair. Paul suggested ombre. He did a great job. My hair looks natural and posh. Scarlett styled my hair. I got a wavy "star" look. It looks amazing. Scarlett did it in a way that even I can do it at home. And I can not forget about receptionists and other members of staff who made sure I have water, tea and a (or two :) ) welsh cake(s). I spent 4 hours at the salon and I enjoyed it. Reception staff are really polite and if you are early for an appointment, (your fault) you are offered a drink whilst you wait. You meet your colourist and have a consultation. Colour then mixed and applied. After the given time for treatment to take, moved to washing area for a lovely wash and condition with head and back massage. Back to the area for styling then and another consult with the stylist about how your style is going. All in all, a great couple of hours of relaxing. More...

I went in to the salon feeling very fragile as my lovely Mum passed away on Saturday. The girls were so lovely and also arranged a free shape and polish. I can't tell you how much it meant to me. Today was my first visit to this salon and all of my expectations were exceeded in every single way! The staff are so friendly and welcoming as soon as you step foot through the door and you're offered a 5* service from the get go. Absolutely love going to this salon, it's a whole experience not just a hair cut! Without exception every member of staff is polite, happy and so knowledgable with their jobs.
Thank you to Sarah yesterday who did fantastic job on my nails, which were in a mess before she did them.
Thank you also to Ellie, the colour is the best I have ever had and Chantelle did amazing job finishing my hair.
I have also had the Brazilian blow dry couple of months ago, which I would highly recommend.

Love this salon ... its a whole experience not just a hair cut. Staff are always friendly and the service is second to none. Made the mistake of not using ken pictons salon after the birth of my daughter and local salon butchered my hair ... I cant tell you how pleased i am to be back there.. Had my hair cut at this salon yesterday. Apologies but the ladys name who cut my hair escapes me, however, she cut the minimum off to rectify a not so good previous hair cut at a different salon, who would think that such a tiny amount of hair coming off would make perfection. My hair is poker straight, I slept on it last night and woke up this morning without so much as as a comb through and looked as if I'd just walked out of the salon, every hair still in place. Popped in here on Thursday for the first time and had my haircut done by Scott. Conversation was sincere as opposed to the scripted type you get in some salons. Enjoyed hearing how you met your girlfriend Scott! Everyone loves a good romance ⚘. Friday at work my colleague who rarely raises his head above his desk told me I looked slick and JUST when I thought it couldn't get any better a little old lady stopped me in Tesco Pontypridd to tell me how much she liked my haircut! My husband bought me a facial for Christmas but accidentally booked a brightening eye treatment. The lady who I belived was called Sarah was amazing, even though it was a super busy Saturday she moved some things around to fit a facial in for me. The first time I had my hair cut and coloured here I was a little disappointed with it, but when I voiced my concerns the stylists took it very seriously and ended up doing it again to get it right.
