I have been going to the gym for 6months now. Everytime I book and scan the class , they keep sending me threatening emails of no show and that constant no show will have consequences. This is stressful for to keep getting this emails, since I book I attend the class. I sent multiple complain s via app they couldn't help advised to go to the gym itself, I spoke to the gym members, and are still receiving no show messages threatening to suspend me. Gym covers all the basics and more. Absolutely loved attending a trial here, the staff were super friendly and helpful. My only suggestion is to add another squat rack!!

Staff are not very friendly. Tissue rolls always need topping up. Water fountain been broken for over a year. Electric lockers never work and machines old and never replaced with modern. Terrible gym.

Awful gym, the equipment is so old! The spin bikes are a different story!!! Things always seem to be broken. The only thing I use to like about the gym were the staff members as they’d always see how I was doing. Overall a very good mid priced gym. Staff are helpful, the excercise equipment works etc. Only issue is the lockers. A lot of them don't work at all and the whole system is erratic in the evenings- after about 7. 30PM. Best Gym Ever! Friendly, kind and helpful staff make Fitness First St.Albans a joy to walk into everyday. Classes are quite challenging and fun- so many talented teachers! For PT sessions, I highly recommend Louis White. His sessions are bespoke so you can achieve your fitness goals. A spacious gym with modern equipment and natural light. The staff and personal trainers are all very welcoming and happy to help. I am currently having PT sessions with Helena who I cannot recommend highly enough. Helena is great fun to work with, sets challenging and varied programs to meet my goals and is always very happy to help. I am really seeing and feeling the benefits. I've been a member of Fitness First for several years. I'd generally use the gym for weight loss via cardio on the treadmills. That process was successful, but was obviously put on hiatus during lockdown. I was glad to finally return last autumn, but in so doing (and with some persuasion) I actually improved on what I did before. I decided I'd invest in 1 -1 supervision with Natalie - one of the personal trainers. Personal training has drastically changed and re-focussed my goals. I've embarked on core and weightlifting exercises which I never used to do as I'd steer clear from those activities and fall back on tried (and much more comfortable) low-energy cardio. The training has made improvements to my back (including helping to diminish back pain) and my upper body is visibly more toned - something I always wanted but never knew how to achieve. After working out, there is the option of the sauna and steam room before a shower in spacious and hygienic changing rooms. I strongly recommend personal training to put the discipline and science back into workouts. It also provides the motivation to actually push myself further. Without coaching, exertion is something we too easily insulate ourselves from but it has now become something I look forward to because of the buzz - I feel so much better afterwards. More...
