I don’t normally like to leave negative reviews, but we hired DJ Chris for my sisters 30th birthday party. I paid extra for “customisable” curtain lights. He turned up an hour and a half early which was great, thinking it was going to be a great set up. He had also asked ahead what type of music we wanted, and said we could make requests on the night. I had paid a 50% deposit. He asked for the remaining 50% before he had set up. If I knew what the set up was going to be, i wouldn’t have bothered. The set up was in fact a small speaker, a small light projector and an iPad. Absolutely not what you expect from a DJ. They pulled 2 pub tables together and put their iPad on that. We made multiple song requests throughout the night, of which most didn’t get played or he said he couldn’t do. Also the music that was played was absolutely not the brief I had given, asking for “a mix of new, old school rnb and cheesey” I got mostly old songs. He did ask at the end of the night how it was and I just said it was ok which understandably I shouldn’t have if it wasn’t but I was very stressed from the set up etc so just needed to night to be done. During this pandemic, we took on extra work as a covid testers and have been trained and certified by East of England Ambulance service in the correct protocols surrounding the virus and correct PPE.
