I'm a bit late posting this review but I had to post to say how helpful Prab was when I was left with a living room full of kitchen units and no one to fit them due to a problem with the original kitchen fitter. Prabhjot from GS Limite was one of three contractors that were called to do an inspection of my roof to determine as to whether it needed repair work, or replacement. The other two contractors wanted to do repair work only. GS Limited was the only one that got my house insurer involved. Upon inspection of both, it was determined that damage was caused by a previous storm, and it was determined that the roof needed to be redone. Prabs team did a fantastic job replacing some bad boards, and replaced the roof on my house, and also two sheds that are in my back garden. The job was handled very well, and they clean up after the job was completed went extremely well. We are very satisfied with the workmanship and the new roof looks great and no more leaks! They showed up, evaluated the condition and offered temporary and permanent fix. What was a persistent leak that one had fixed, these folks figured it out and fixed it in less than 1 hr at a nominal cost. Prab the main man won my trust. Roofing Installation or Replacement
This is a review of the process of getting a quote, not the quality of their work.
They made contact through bark, and we agreed that they would come and have a look at the job at a specified time on the same day.
After they were 30 mins late, I called them and was told they were "on the way". They arrived an hour later than agreed, no apology or explanation as to why.
Had a quick look at the job, and they left saying they'd send a quote through in a day or two. On day three, I text to ask if they were offering a quote, and received a text back saying yes and that we would get it later that day. Five days after they came to look, we received a quote from them, which was a few lines in a text (and not a full breakdown of what would be done as other companies have offered) and the price was 1/3 on top of what other companies had quoted.
Again, to reiterate, I cannot comment upon the quality of their work, however, in my experience of searching for a roofing firm and getting quotes for a fairly significant domestic job, this company was by far the least desirable in terms of communication with us, punctuality, and competitive prices.

We apologies on behalf of the member of staff but this was during the New Years break period when all the roofing yards were closed due to festival break. Everything opens back on the 5thJan and thats when you receive your quote. We apologies again as you found our quote expensive. Best quality work comes with a price tag. All the best for future

How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
There are typically three types of garage; attached, integrated and detached. Attached or integrated garages are connected to the main house, sometimes to the side, or projecting out from the front with a bedroom above. An attached garage can usually be accessed from inside the house so makes conversion simpler.
A detached garage can still be suitable for conversion however as you would be changing its use you would need to check with your local council planning department whether a conversion would be outside permitted development rights.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
One of the main areas that will concern your building control surveyor is the type and depth of foundation of your current garage. Often, they are too shallow to support the additional weight of a new wall, window or door where the garage door used to be. If the conversion is to be double height the foundations need to be even deeper. Your builder will need to dig out new foundations and perhaps talk to a structural engineer to ensure the new foundations are sufficient to take the new load.
A garage isn’t built to be warm and cosy and needs ventilation and airflow so at the moment it’s probably draughty too. As you don’t want your new room to be like this the floors, walls and roof of your garage will need to be insulated and improved to meet the minimum requirements for thermal energy efficiency. These rules also apply to the windows and doors you use.
If your garage conversion is going to include a bathroom or toilet you will need to have good access to drainage and ensure that sewers are correctly used. You should also check whether your garage has been built over existing drains - if you don’t have household plans, you can try contacting your water authority who should hold this information.
