Gas4Heat I would highly recommend. They came out and assessed what I required to replace my old Oil fired boiler. Sat down and talked through with me the options, we eventually decided on a combi boiler moved up into the loft to free up storage space. Many many thanks to the extremely efficient Greg and David in the office, and Dean the plumber we had a leak under our new kitchen sink due to a really dreadful job being done by a kitchen contractor who was definitely not a plumber ? ??? Dean arrived fast,looked carefully at what was there and removed the bodged piping and replaced it with what should have been put there in the first place. What Is An Annual Boiler Service
1) A visual check of the boiler
2) The boiler is fired safely to identify any working faults
3) A flue gas analysis efficiency test
4) Opening up the boiler and inspecting it, if necessary
5) Checking the flue and ventilation are in accordance with Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations
6) Checking and adjusting the system pressure
7) Cleaning the condensate trap
8) Visually checking and bleeding radiators, if necessary
9) Confirmation in writing that the service has been carried out.
10) FOC Asset Management.
Oil Boiler Service
What Is Included in an Oil Boiler Service?
During your service, the engineer will check that your boiler is in good working condition, as well as testing the safety and efficiency of your system. Oil boiler servicing usually takes around one hour, during this time the engineer will:
Visually inspect the boiler and all associated pipes or areas (including your oil tank and supply pipe), to make sure that they comply with current safety regulations.
1) Inspect and clean out the flue.
2) Replace or clean the oil filters and oil nozzle.
3) Check for water in your oil tank.
4) Use a flue gas analyser to check combustion.
5) Check the supply pipe for any signs of leakage.
6) Remove the boiler casing and clean internal components (like the heat exchanger and burner).
7) Test all safety systems to make sure that they are functioning correctly (this includes any thermostats, pressure relief valves and burner lockout devices).
8) Ask if you have experienced any issues with the boiler.
9) Turn the boiler on to check that it is working correctly.
10) FOC Asset Management.
