First i had Norman who came to give me a quote. Such a lovely, friendly man who sat and had a coffee with me and didn't make me feel bad because i couldn't afford an expensive garage door. He spoke me through everything and left the quote with me...no pressure at all. A few days later i phoned Norman asking him how much for a different door as i had changed my mind (typical female). He was so kind and by the time i got home from work he had put a quote for this door through my letterbox. I signed the form and posted it back. The following week Norman phoned me with a date for fitting...this was yeaterday..2nd June 2016. The two guys (i dont know their names) arrived when they said they would and were really nice. I couldnt move a box out of their way as it was too heavy for me but they told me it was no problem...they would move it. They fitted my new garage door....took away my old one and tidied up. Everything was left clean and tidy. I was shown how the door worked etc and off they went. Two lovely guys who were very friendly and very good at what they do. As a female on her own....who couldn't afford anything too expensive...i was always treated kindly by Norman and these two guys. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for garage door, gates etc. A first class service and the lovliest staff. I did get another quote from another company after Norman had been....two guys came up..measured....told me my electric meter box was in the way....proceeded to kick at the bottom of the door posts to see if they were rotten....then told me they would phone me with a quote. No brochure....no idea what i was looking for and never offered a written quote. To this day i still have never had a quote from them. I dont want to mention the company as i'm on my own and they know where i live..one of them was quite intimidating. So glad i found Garage Door & Gate Co. Well done to Norman and the fitters. Superb service and product. Norman arrived from the company to measure up and give me a quote. He was very professional and friendly, answering all questions I had and left me with a printed quote which was very reasonable. I rang the company to go ahead with the booking and again received friendly service over the phone. They arrived to install my new garage door. I was surprised with how quickly they installed the new door, they obviously have experience and were both very efficient and got to work straight away. Every scrap of mess from the old door and frame was removed leaving no trace of mess whatsoever! Bruce and Shaun were very friendly and professional and the garage door is superb.
