What makes a great website?
A great website needs to catch the eye immediately. Striking images with contrasting text and modules is a good way to do this. It also needs to be easy to navigate as user experience is a major factor in retaining a viewers interest. Content is also important as well as the layout that the content is displayed in.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Tell me about your business. What do you want to achieve with this site? What do you need this site to do? What is your timescale and budget?
What do you love most about your job?
Every day is different. One day I can be working on a site for a security installer, the next a podiatrist, the next a tattooist. It's interesting learning about other businesses (which is something you have to do to build an effective site) and dealing with different people.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I'd worked for over 20 years for large companies without much in the way of thanks or recognition. Doing what I do now gives me more freedom and lets me be myself.
Why should our clients choose you?
I listen. I'm easy to talk to but listening to the customer is a quality that a lot of companies lack. G-Host is only a small business itself but every client is important to us so we always go out of our way to be there for them.
