Fun Staffy Dog Training was born as a legacy to my nervous and dog aggressive Staffy as I was looking for kind and effective training methods for her. I have had guardian dogs like Cane Corsos, Caucasian Shepherds and German Shepherds for over 10 years and other dog breeds for at least 20.

From the very beginning it was so exiting and joy to attend Anita’s online courses, training both of my dogs, Diégó ( Jack Russel x Chihuahua ) and Luna ( Whippet x Greyhound ) 🤎🤍🖤Understanding their behaviours, the instructions, games and how to’s are so easy to follow, also the extra teaching when she showed it with Spraggan, was amazing. They both picked up the “tasks” very quickly, and I am so grateful for the time Anita spent with us doing this. Tiny dog hit his terrible teens and turned into a little monster. Dobby is a miniature jack russell. Well socialised with everything from people, dogs, other animals, vehicles, sea, lakes, fireworks etc. Took everything in his stride. Then it was like somebody flipped a switch. Agro towards other dogs, wanting to chase sheep with a broken recall and beginning to pull at the leash. Frustrating as we'd put in lots of puppy training work. Anyway, Anita to the rescue. I wasn't sure it could work as it was all done remotely via zoom. But we put in the hours of training/playing and I now have a transformed little rockstar! There's still work to be done, he'll chase birds that take flight and I'm sure given the opportunity would go after sheep. But his behaviour is vastly improved. A joy to walk. I now look forward to his socialisation training. Knowing why he needs the specific types of games and play has helped immensely. Not all dogs play fetch, this one plays middle, sit, down, fetch, tug, tug, tug, tug, drop, repeat. Thankyou Anita, you're a gem xx More...

What inspired you to start your own business?
Owning a reactive dog is taxing for our mental health and damaging to our relationship with our dog as well as it can cause clashes in the family.
I was desperate to look for training solutions for my nervous and dog aggressive staffy that were kind and effective.
Coming from a teaching backgroundand having worked with challenging behaviour for over 25 years as a professional teacher, I have found that positive supportive behaviour plan worked best which was combined with fun interactive games and the children had choices to control their environment.
And found the same applied to dogs as well. I help you understand your dog, find their motivation through interactive play and scent work give a meaningful outlet to their needs and desires where you work with your dog learning about communication and understanding.
The behaviour modification happens by understanding what drives their emotions, frustration, over-excitement and how we can achieve calm and making them feel safe.
Only dogs who feel safe are able to play. And what brings a relationship closer than playing together?
And then Fun Staffy Dog Training was born.

Yes, I have full online course for puppies, teens and reactive dogs as well as several short specialised courses for learning to walk on the loose lead and recall.
These courses can be completed without me or fully guided depending on how much handholding is needed in the process.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Moved online and had all my meeting on Zoom. Now the best results I can see are from the hybrid courses where we use the online platform to provide special tailor made individual course for each client that supports their needs the best and also meeting up in person as well.

Teen Group Classes
Our teenage training classes are offered in-person, in a small classes for individual attention. Perfect for tricky teenage tearaways!
Puppy Classes
Our in-person puppy classes are perfect for puppies 8-16 weeks. With small class sizes to ensure individual attention. We focus on socialisation, toilet training, walking on lead, obedience training, fun games for recall and preventing behaviour problems occurring later in life.
Scentwork Classes
Our Scentwork classes not only mentally stimulates your dog but also enhances their natural ability to sniff things out, all while having fun! All ages can participate and especially beneficial for anxious and reactive dogs where we give their brain something to focus on instead of worrying about the environment.
1:1 Reactivity Training
This is best for aggressive or reactive dogs who cannot join group settings. We teach you the skills you both need to have to handle those tricky situations that can be scary for both of you.
Puppy 1:1
Our family-friendly Puppy 1:1's take place as visits to your home. These sessions are ideal for getting crucial training under way.
Trick Training Classes
Our fun trick training classes and workshops are perfect for all the family. With games-based training, great for all ages and as a side effect you will see improvement in other areas as well like your recall and your relationship. Pop-In Training
Are you busy working and no time to train your dog?
Then this is the right choice for you!
I will pop in and take your dog for a walk or train at home the skills you want them to see progress.
I will always update you with the things we have learnt and during the monthly handover time you can learn easily how to maintain these good behaviour with your dog.
1:1 Reactive Dog Walking
If you have been declined from group walking then this is for you! I'm taking your dog for a solo walk where they can burn off that excess energy and learn some new skills, too.
