We are an experienced local architectural practice in Chichester. The majority of our work is residential with some small commercial projects .
We offer an end to end service including concept design, 3D visualisation, planning, building regulations, pricing, contractor tendering and contract administration.

Q&As

The main constraints are where the staircase will be positioned and whether there is enough headroom. This is is often determined by the pitch of the roof.

The type of roof also makes a big difference. Most roofs can be made into more usable spaces but often it requires considerable structural work to remove parts of the existing roof to make way for living accompdation.

Adding dormers is the most common way to achieve more space in a loft and can make a loft space feel very spacious.

Planning permission would be required for dormers and building regulations would aways apply when changing the structure of the roof.

Our process is similar for all jobs. Concept design, feasibility, planning pemission, building regulations, tendering and quotations from builders and contract administration.

As well as the typical 2D floor plans, elevations and sections we produce 3D animated visualisations and photorealistic representstions to show you exactly what your home will look like. We also offer a thorough feasibility study including build costs and property valuations.

We need to visit the property to do a measures survey. Once we have done that, much of our communication can be remote if it suits the client. However, we much prefer a more personal working relationship and often have clients come to the office to talk about things over a nice coffee!

Services

We work with clients to draw up concepts to make sure that the design is exactly what they want. We produce concept drawings in plan and 3D and offer video walkthroughs so clients can experience exactly what the space will feel like.

We take care of the planning process from submitting the application to dealing with any follow up queries the planners have.

We produce full building regulation plans so that your peoject can gain building regulation approval.

We help clients to understand how much a project is likely to cost and we work with a local estate agent to provide pre and post work property valuations. This gives clients a complete picture of the finacial aspects of a project and enables them to make an informed decision about their investment.

We can recommmend reliable and trusted contractors and support clients through the tendering process. Ensuring quotes and comparable is difficult and requires that we produce clear schedules and scope of works. We often undertake this work to ensure clients receive clear and comparable quotes from builders.

Once a builder is appointed, we can remain involved to ensure that the contract betwen client and builder is administered properly throughout the project. In short, this service ensures the builder is paid the right amount of money for the work they have completed. This protects both client and contractor and ensures the project runs smoothly. Importantly, it ensures the client never overpays, putting themself at risk of being out of pocket.
