Well-equipped gym with a friendly, relaxed vibe. Love the fact it’s independent and membership fees are reasonable. Would rate 5 out of 5 if doors opened an hour earlier each day, for those who have to get into work early and like to train first thing!

I was never keen on exercise but after I met Allen from Fitness plus I actually really enjoy my workouts with him but at home and in the gym. The reason is that Allen understands my body and motivates me to work harder. Also the training sessions are never the same although we work the same muscles. I started because I wanted to loose weight and fix my lower back pain, after 4 months my body started to change, I did loose weight as I was also in calorie deficit but more importantly now I feel stronger, lighter, my abs look flatter and I feel amazing! A very good gym. Though it's been five or so years since I was a member. I thought I would put down my thoughts.I found the staff very friendly and helpful. During my three or so years with the gym I was given several routines to follow all of which I worked through with a member of staff. They always put me right if I was doing something wrong without having to be asked. The equipment was always clean and there was always something I could use at the times I was there, which were usually weekday mornings.The price when I was a member was very reasonable I found.The changing rooms where very clean and had plenty of room for dressing.Shower facilities are also provided as one would expect. The lockers (when I was a member) were operated with a pound coin or a similar token which means you don't need to haul a lock along with you.Drinking water is provided from fountains for free and energy drinks are available to purchase at a reasonable price.The building would seem to be a converted school or such like which I felt gave it a for more friendly feel than the chain gyms.Another major plus was the fact you only had to give three months notice if you wanted to leave, which could be given at any time. This is unlike many gyms which run a year by year contract where you an only cancel your membership on a certain day in the year and if you mis that you may have to wait a full year before it is cancelled.All in all I was very satisfied and going there certainly improved my health and general physique. I really miss going there and only left when I moved out of the country. I would recommend the Gym to anyone in the are of all levels of fitness. More...

Since living in London, I wasn’t enjoying going to the gym until I found West 4 Gym. I had moved locally to the area and was pleasantly surprised. It’s a lot smaller than what I was used to but had everything I had needed. The owners, Paul & Sam are friendly and helpful and are finding new ways to elevate the gym equipment for their members. How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
I design all the training around the clients needs, and always change the workouts to keep the training interesting. If the clients has injuries I make sure we work to fix the injuries, as well as progressing to what so ever the goal is.
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
Be consistent with your training, and use verity with all the training , but always make sure you work as hard as you can, watch your diet, and get the right amount of rest between training sessions.
What do you love most about your job?
Seeing the progress my clients make, and changing clients lives.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had a lot of injuries playing sports and could never find the right Physio to fix me, so I studied and workout the best way to fix myself and my clients needs, all may clients which follow my advice may it be weight loss, weight gain, cardio fitness, or sports injuries have always got the results they have been looking for.
