I never imagined how much I could achieve in such a small space of time. Fit and Happy helped peel me off the sofa and squat jump into my new, healthier life. Amy has been an incredible support throughout my weight loss journey. Right from my very first session, she made me feel at ease. Amy worked out a tailored exercise regime to suit my personal needs, which we continue to change and develop, as I do. Plus I have to log everything I consume, trust me it makes you think twice about that chocolate bar! Sessions with Amy are always the perfect balance of fun and challenging. I've just signed up for my second block and am loving the boot camps. I've noticed a considerable difference in my levels of fitness after only 5 weeks and I only attend twice a week. Each class has been so different, targeting different muscle groups and keeping it interesting as well. All the coaches give lots of options and check that you're posture and technique is correct. It's great exercising outdoors and I love the flexibility of attending whenever you can....if you're thinking of signing up just give it a try...you won't regret it! More...

Joining this Boot Camp was one of the best decisions I have made in recent months! I would never have believed I would go to something like this, let alone love it. But it’s friendly, fun, outdoors in the beautiful Meadows, always varied, it gets you fit and all in the company of other fabulous women. Julia and all the trainers are brilliant. It has made a real difference to my life, after a fairly rubbish year last year, and does a lot to lift my spirits as well as my fitness and strength. I love it! More...

I love fit and happy camps! Been going to the Meadows one with Julia and her other fab coaches for 2 years. Despite having cancer I have probably never felt better - going regularly has made me fitter, stronger, more toned. I love the super friendly fit and happy community of women and we all support each other and have fun - you exercise at your own pace. Most importantly for me, exercising outdoors seems to release more happy hormones than exercising in a gym and I always finish a class feeling great (despite having cancer!) . So give it a go! I’ve been doing fit and happy boot camp at black-hall since May. It’s brilliant I love going, it’s a great workout, Sophie and the other coaches are really motivating. The thing is I’m really disappointed if something comes up and I can’t go! There’s a nice group of people so it’s quite sociable too. It’s a great workout,Its not all shouting and unmanageable excersise, it’s team work and coaching and bringing everyone on at their own pace. It’s varied every session too. I’d highly recommend it! I have never really enjoyed exercising but went along to Fit & Happy boot camp in Victoria Park when it first started earlier this year. I absolutely love it and now go three times a week! Our instructor Cally is brilliant and I have got to know some really lovely people. Cally mixes up every session so we are always doing different exercises - I never thought I would enjoy boxing so much! A huge thank you Cally at Fit & Happy who has completely changed my outlook on exercise - I now feel so much happier within myself and I am fitter than I have ever been. More...

Julia's bootcamp is fantastic - always challenging-but-doable and really good fun, and the group of girls who show up regularly are great (we sometimes get a coffee after and I live for that coffee! ). Julia mixes it up every session and puts a lot of effort into making sure you're doing the exercises correctly, and to me there's so much value in that. I've been doing it twice a week and have definitely noticed an improvement in my fitness and would recommend Fit & Happy to anyone looking to improve theirs. More...

Having had my second child at the age of 42, a year later I just couldn't shift the extra pounds I'd put on and really needed some help. I wanted someone who would understand the other pressures in a mum's life - I didn't want a drill sergeant. I felt Julia's website was very clear about the way she worked.

In the 3 months I've been working with Julia I've lost 11 lbs (I'm a small frame anyway so that is a very happy achievement - clothes shopping is so much more enjoyable).

I'm also much stronger because of the tailored training sessions - I can do things I thought I might not be able to do again (including a headstand which I could do before baby but couldn't do even a year after).

Julia has helped me get on track with healthy choices (veggies/salads and protein). I don't eat any horrible low fat/diet products, and I don't calorie count. I just eat what I want in much healthier proportions.

I could never have done this alone! Thanks Julia :-)

I am now on my third 6 week block of Fit & Happy boot camp and I absolutely love it. I was so nervous before starting as I had not done anything like this before and had a few negative preconceptions of what it would be like. All my preconceptions were completely wrong. It's fun not scary. It's friendly not bossy. It's tough but only as tough as you make it. Julia is such an great trainer/teacher that she immediately puts you at ease and makes you feel perfectly comfortable. There is such a friendly and welcoming vibe to the group and we always have such a good laugh. Sometimes too much! I highly recommend Julia for anyone who wants to get fit & happy! Thanks Julia! I can’t recommend Julia’s Fit and Happy boot camp enough. If you know you need to get exercising but don’t know where to begin, it’s the perfect place to start and keep going. I am in my fourth week at the Meadows bootcamp and really loving it! Never done anything like this before, am a little overweight and outta condition, but no fear, everyone is welcome! I was a little nervous to sign up but so glad I now have...wish I’d done it sooner! The name is on the tin, “fit and happy” is exactly what it is! It’s soo nice to be outside, much more enjoyable than indoors, exercising with a great group of women, everyone has been so welcoming, helpful and friendly. Julia is a fab coach, so motivating, explains things clearly, giving lots of encouragement throughout. She and her team have got it so well organised, each time it’s different and varied, short bursts of exercises that are working parts of my body I never knew existed!! It’s tough but really fun!! And each exercise has a lower impact version so suits all abilities. Really like it too that you can choose which class to attend, not tied to particular days. Just book a block and choose when to go! I’ve even added some extra sessions as I’m enjoying it so much! Never thought I’d do that! Am already feeling so much more energised! Julia makes you sweat, but also laugh! I never thought a boot camp was the thing for me, but this one I really enjoyed. Even though 9. 00am is early for me ;-) Each session of 45 minutes just flew by thanks to Julia's tight schedule of exercises presented in an easy-going, supportive, but still demanding way. (She must have spent a long time planning and preparing) I've noticed getting stronger over the six weeks and for the first time in my life I can do push-ups! Thank you, Julia! More...
