First Force is a coaching and personal training company dedicated to giving people stronger bodies and stronger minds through physical movement. I'm a firm believer in getting people to enjoy physical exercise so that they keep coming back to it, and gain the strength, confidence, and body that they feel happy comfortable with.

Q&As

Once I have found a sport or physical activity they fall in love with - from powerlifting, to long distance running, to rock climbing, to squash, anything goes - then everything else will fall into place. A healthier body, better appearance or better eating habits, are all objectives that are either too vague, too subjective, or too abstract, and are why most people fall off the wagon. Whereas something fun to get your teeth stuck into, and getting better at that fun activity, is very tangible and even moreso, more enjoyable and engaging than drily counting calories or performing 100 squats a day because some second-rate home workout YouTuber told you to.

Real lifestyle change starts psychologically, and if you are not enjoying the process, you won't stick to it.

Find a sport or physical activity you love, and you can bet your proverbial that somewhere down the line resistance training and good dietary practices will help you get better at it. With resistance training and good dietary practices come muscle tissue and fat loss. Unless the body of your dreams is not those things, in which case you should find a sport you love anyway because it makes life better :)

I suffered with horrendous depression and anxiety and rock climbing and strength training dragged me out of it. I want to pass the love onto others.

I pride myself in being studious, attentive and passionate about my work, whilst also being empathetic and realistic. I will never try and overhaul your life in one fell swoop. Meaningful and permanant change comes from incramental adjustments to ones lifestyle in a sustainable and realistic way, not via snake oil "magic bullet" style workout plans.

I provide my sessions over video call vbia either Zoom or Messenger. I have a couple of clients that I'm working with this way and they seem to be very happy with how it's going.

I always make sure boundaries are understood as everyone has different attitudes towards safety. With face-to-face customers I am more than willing to adhere to any boundaries they have, whether it be mask wearing, hand sanitizing or spraying down equipment.

Services

Varying in price depending on how many sessions per week, I offer one-to-one mentorship at a fixed monthly premium.

Whilst ongoing mentorship is highly recommended for most desired results, sometimes one-off sessions are all you need. Treat it like a lecture, or a one-off Q&A.
