I deal with contractors on a daily basis. These guys are more like double glazing salesmen. Over 8k for replacement flat roof. Really!!!! More the fool people who proceed with work. Must have money to burn. You will receive a follow up call call asking questions about the poor guys who come out to do the estimate. Then have the audacity to say we can send him back out to have another look. Really! Why would you need to do that! Oh yes to waste my time and maybe knock off 5% of their ludicrous quote. They doodle some drawings on scrap paper do not take accurate measurements, as they already decided to take your eyes out, and write the quote on scrap paper. No break down of costs. Then to top it al,l he asks if the guy actually used his ladders to get on the roof to assess it. It was me who asked have you got any ladders? I'm sure they are given quotes without even inspecting sometimes. More...

A very professional company from the initial survey through to the work being carried out during January 2021 to completion within a few weeks. We are delighted with our complete new roof and the work undertaken on the dormer roof and cladding. Found Findley's after seeing multiple works in and around Trimdon. Saw that they conducted good work, and decided to have our flat roof done also. lads worked well and cannot fault the workmanship and the men. they communicated that my main roof was in poor condition and we were flabbergasted after seeing the state previous cowboy contractors have left it in. We have since placed an order for a new main roof as a result from Findley's. Rob was great, Scott and Lewis also fantastic. Would highly recommend. If you get these cowboys to do your roof, before they take the scaffold down make sure you get an independent building surveyor to check the job over. DO NOT USE!! Rushed job done on my grandmas roof, problems after which they kept avoiding and delaying someone to come out and see it. After 5 weeks of waiting finally someone came out and they were rude to my 87 year old grandma who had paid for her roof upfront as soon as the job was done.
