Fetch is far more than just a walking service. They absolutely dote on my pup Tucker, even though he can often be a headache. They send countless pictures (and I mean PICTURES, I feel like I have a professional photography service for my dog), videos, the daily walk route, and descriptions of the walk. The group walks are an hour long and mine and two other pups are driven to big fields and rivers where they can play and swim to their hearts content. The private walks are great as well - 30 minutes of committed love and play time. My pup does both. Mell also makes it INCREDIBLY easy and accommodating - the website she's created for booking, cancelling, rebooking walks is in a class of its own when it comes to dog walking services. I’ve recently used Mell to walk my German Shepherd dog and she was absolutely amazing with her. She met us for our first meeting and she clicked with her straight away.
My pup always comes back happy as anything and is sooo tired which is great as I know she’s definitely had a great walk.

Wow, Fetch Cambridge is an impressive dog walking service my Barnaby absolutely loves seeing Mell walk through our door each day to pick him up. It is great to be able to be a member of Fetch, I received a generous welcome bag on Barnaby’s first walk with pooch goodies. Mell has been absolutely fantastic with Barnaby, he is so excited to see her and then sooks when she leaves, which makes me so confident he loves it. What do you love most about your job?
Seeing dogs happy, active, playing and being outdoors bring me so much joy. Having dogs in my life just makes me smile.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I moved to the UK in 2016, I am a qualified Personal Trainer, and successfully ran my own business in sunny Australia for over seven years. After meeting my husband, selling my business and moving to Cambridge, I have worked in senior office-based roles in facility management and office management.
In 2020 I decided to retrain and follow a career that genuinely excites me…..Dogs. I have always worked with dogs (privately owned) and have a strong affinity for all animals (just not snakes or spiders – another reason to leave Australia and head for new shores).
I am qualified in Canine First Aid, and a Level 3 – Diploma in Canine Care, Behaviour & Welfare.
I love the outdoors and am an active person with my hobbies being hiking, fitness, cycling and running, but mostly dogs.

Fetch Cambridge is fully insured, and Mell Holgate (your dog walker) is qualified in Canine First Aid and is also currently studying a diploma in Canine Care, Behaviour & Welfare.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Masks are worn on pick up and drop off.
Use of our own leads instead of using yours.

Group Walks are 1-hour walks, providing your dog with plenty of exercise, play and socialisation.

Please Note: To be eligible for group walks your dog must be calm, walk loose lead and be socialised and good with other dogs. Please be aware all our group walks are off leash walks (in safe places), so he/she would need to have a good reliable recall. If not, we recommend choosing the Individual walk service.
