We hired Fatima to take some photos for Mum's 60th birthday. Fatima was organised, prompt (she even came a few minutes earlier than we had booked her to set up properly and be well prepared), and completely professional. She was also patient when we needed her to wait for the next photo-op as we prepared last minute bits and bobs on the day (e.g. getting the cake ready for the cake cutting). What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The secret to taking a great photograph is making the person or people on the other side of the lens feel at ease! I believe people and moments are captured at their best when done so discreetly. If it is a portrait/head shot, then getting to know the client and making sure they feel comfortable enough to be themselves results in a great photograph. During events, capturing people unawares, while they are enjoying a moment, creates a special photograph.

Is there an atmosphere/vibe you wish to communicate through the photos?
Are there particular people/moments you would like me to focus on during the event?
Is there a theme/colour scheme you would like to be captured in the photos?
Will there be natural light at the venue?

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I will wear a face covering if required during any in person meetings, and take a Lateral Flow Test 24 hours before contact.
Event Photography
I offer my photography services for small, intimate events, capturing special moments that can be cherished for a lifetime. I enjoy taking natural photos of people - I believe that when people are unaware of the camera, they are captured at their best, so I make it my aim to take photos discreetly. I also take staged individual portraits and group photos if required.
Head Shot Photography
Portrait photography is something I enjoy thoroughly. Conveying a persons nature and personality through a photograph and capturing a version of them that they feel is reflective of them is both a challenge and a thrill. I work with the client to achieve the style/tone that they would like to convey through the photograph.
Commercial Photography
Whether you require lifestyle shots, photographs of venues or products, I will work alongside you to enhance your product or service in line with the tone of voice that is reflective of your business and draws in your unique and individual clientele.
Nature Photography
I have been lucky enough to engage in wildlife photography while travelling in South Africa and Tanzania and try to capture nature in all it's glory in a unique and original fashion.
