I really wanted to leave a positive comment, as everything started off so well on arrival as the staff were very friendly, but if I’m honest, the massage itself wasn’t an enjoyable experience at all. If I hadn’t bought the voucher on groupon for the treatment I would have had a hard time paying full price for what I received. I booked in for a 55 min aromatherapy massage, although I don’t think any essential oils were used during the massage, as there was no discussion around this. My treatment was also cut short as there wasn’t enough time after the previous customer to settle up her payment, show her out and then clean the room in time for my treatment to start at 5pm. Being the last treatment of the day, I was quickly advised that the massage would stop promptly at 5.55pm regardless of the fact that it had started 10-15 mins later than it should have. Before we started, I asked Chay to leave the area around the back of my knees as this is a sensitive and tender area, yet this was overlooked and massaged anyway. I also mentioned I had a lot of tension and a few suspected knots in my upper back/shoulder blades, but these weren’t even attempted, instead I was given really heavy knuckling around my neck which was uncomfortable. The overall pressure was ok, but the same three techniques were used throughout, regardless of the different muscles and different parts of the body. It was honestly like the therapist had no idea what they were doing, which was a real shame as they came across so professional to start with that I had good expectations. During the massage the spa music stopped, and the therapist announced loudly to Alexa to continue Spotify, which was a bit annoying. It would have been better just to leave the music off. I get a lot of massages, and tend to try different salons/spas and support small businesses, but unfortunately I have never experienced any massage like that from a professional salon/spa. More...

Bought a voucher in good faith from groupon in may valid until July - only to be told by some dappy girl and then some scruffy man - assume owner - that the voucher was not valid - no code - code on my phone - thrn told code not valid - groupon had put the voucher on in 2019 - told it was up to me to sort out refund with groupon - talk about customer service ! I had an appointment yesterday for an eyebrow wax and tint. Was left standing outside and the place looked like it was shut. When I was let in the staff member had no idea how to book me in. I was left waiting upstairs in a room whilst she went down stairs to another customer. Then my tinting wasn’t even worth having done. There was no wax ready so had to go to another room. It was a rushed, unorganised and not relaxing experience. £28 is a total rip off for the service I received. Don’t recommend and won’t be going back!
