I attended a 1 to 1 training session with David and it was brilliant....He tailored the training to my requirements and provided an excellent informative day. The model he booked was also amazing which made things much easier for us to concentrate on lighting. I attended this workshop with David and have to say it was amazing. David is very knowledgeable and down to earth. His style is something I admire and hope to replicate to add to my own skills. He also has a great taste in music! Lunch was great too. The studio is warm and comfortable and well equipped. Our model for the day was the wonderful Carla Monaco, David uses some great models for these workshops. The feel was laid back but productive with plenty of time to shoot each set. A Excellent day . David is a good host and made us welcome. The studio is small but adequate and there are enough props to make things interesting. David did our engagement and wedding photos. In both cases he produced brilliant, highly professional photos. He was fantastic at helping us create the pictures we wanted and was also very good at being unobtrusive and blending into the background when needed during the wedding, whilst still coming up with amazing photos. David is really friendly, very easy going and was great admin related stuff before the wedding too. Had the most amazing experience at a fine art shoot for my daughter with David / English Photoworks. David is an extremely talented professional photographer who is passionate about his work. The studio is fabulous and his team were amazing and very friendly, we were made to feel so welcome and completely at ease. The photographs from the shoot are absolutely stunning and although my daughter is a model David managed to bring out a completely different side to her, the images wouldn’t look out of place in Vogue! I loved David's work when I first discovered it and then realised that he also trains photographers. As a result I've Just completed two fantastic one day workshops with him.

The first was a personalised one to one day and the second a group workshop with two other photographers. I cannot speak highly enough about David's professionalism from initial contact right through to following up after the workshop with all the information promised. These were my first workshops of this kind and David did a great job of putting me at ease and customising the one to one day for my needs. The models he arranged for both days were lovely people and fantastic to work with.

David holds nothing back in sharing how he creates the images that attracted me to his work in the first place. This includes styling, lighting, and his amazing editing skills. My photography has been lifted of the plateau that I was on by a really positive experience. Great guy and money well spent. If you are hesitating just go for it! More...

I would highly recommend using David - he has a lovely relaxed manner and makes you feel he has all the time in the world and this shows in the amazing results that he achieves in his photos.

Dave is a genius with a camera. We spent a fantastic morning with him, capturing shots as a couple and individually. He's great company, makes the whole thing very easy (especially if you don't take naturally to being in front of a camera), and brought great creative ideas to the session. David is the consummate professional, not only is he a fabulous photographer, but also a great teacher. I came away from Davids workshop with the knowledge required to try to emulate some of his work, however I am not sure I quite have the required skills as yet. David supplies course notes, the presentation itself and also useful editing PS actions and textures. All of this takes place in Davids fabulous studio, full of quality equipment and fantastic props. Throw in a fabulous 3 course lunch, courtesy of Davids wife, and the chance to meet the family of 3 dogs and what more could you ask for. I had been recommended to David Shoukry for some headshots and I was not disappointed. David immediately made me feel at ease and was great at making suggestions of how to get the most out of my photographs. His style is very relaxed and confident and the pictures that he takes are just fantastic. I had my pictures done in the morning and by 5pm they were sent to me.
I am so delighted with the headshots and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend David to anyone.

My first visit to this wonderful studio today for a workshop. There are not really enough words to describe how marvellous the day was. The venue was perfect, the model more than perfect, the tuition and guidance was clear, instructional and informative and the food was just nom nom nom. If you get chance to do one of the workshops here, I would say do so and you will not be disappointed. The day went far to quick and there was so much more we could have done. But we all left we loads of useful info that we can use and apply to our own images and editing processes. I spent the day with David yesterday on an introduction to digital photography course. I am so pleased I did! David was extremely friendly, informative, helpful and full of invaluable advice. The day was very well planned with handouts, fact sheets, we even went out to do some photography to a local National Trust venue. David was a great teacher and looking at some of his portfolio you know you are being taught by an extremely talented professional. He has very much his own style and it is quite beautiful.

I attended one of Davids Fine Art Workshops yesterday, as I really liked the style of photography he produces and are always up for learning different techniques to add to my own skillset.

David provides really great communication both prior to the course and afterwards when he gives you some additional information (via download) to reinforce the information received on the day. The day itself was very relaxed, primarily due to Davids teaching style, and flows seemlessly from one set to the next.

We had a great model which was perfect for the look we wanted to achieve and the day flew by! Everyone had ample opportunity to shoot numerous times, including changing props (of which there are many) during the lighting sets.

Overall I had a superb day, learnt lots and most of all came away with both knowledge and more than a few good pics! Cant recommend this enough to people looking to emulate this style.

Excellent! - I attended a workshop run by David at the weekend. Directions were good and the workshop started on time. Although I have considerably less experience than the other attendees David‘s approach made me feel at ease and confident. The workshop was well organised and the pace was just right. He readily imparts the skills and knowledge he has acquired as a professional to help develop the participants. The model, Olivia, was excellent and very easy to work with and I came away with some great photos.
For me the 6 hour workshop was quite inspirational and I feel it will make a difference to my approach.
I would recommend this workshop to anyone who wants to learn and have practical experience of fine art/low key photography. More...

I attended a workshop at David’s studio with a view to gain a better understanding of studio lighting techniques. I can honestly say I came away with this and so much more!

David and his wife were fantastic, polite hosts and provided a delicious lunch and non stop beverages. The studio is immaculate and David has put a lot of time and effort into developing a style that is easy to re-create and gives fantastic results every time. The equipment is great and the tuition style laid back and informative. The choice of model (Olivia Harriet) was perfect. She was a delight to work with, posing was perfect every time, she had an array of outfits and she simply brightens up a room when she works.

Value for money I have zero complaints, when you consider the cost of booking a model for half a day and then add in the tuition, studio hire, food and the equipment cost this workshop is an absolute steal!

I hope to work with David again in the future and can not recommend this course enough. More...

Had a fabulous workshop with David this man could not been more professional yet at the same time very friendly. He showed us some stunning lighting techniques and talked about the light and camera settings he explained it so easy so everyone understood and left the workshop thinking I could do that.
The studio had a brilliant setup plenty lights softboxes and props for the model.
We all had so much shooting time with a stunning model.
After all that we moved on to post processing with David. he showed his way of bringing the best out of a photo and wow breathtaking

David Shoukry was the photographer for our wedding at The Roman Baths. Not only did he make full use of the uniqueness of the venue, he captured our guests laughing, dancing, talking and enjoying themselves, as well as some more formal shots. He has created a very beautiful and meaningful collection of memories for us, our families and friends. We couldn't have made a better choice. I am a busy professional opera singer and have head shots taken every few years for publicity purposes. David managed to accommodate a date to fit in with my schedule.
