I was trying to find a dog trainer for my Caucasian shepherd and every corner I looked, everyone was turning me down and not giving me the time of day because of the breed that he is. Until Alex came along and found me and said to me that he could help and I was ecstatic but nervous at the same time because so many people said they couldn’t help me. It only took Alex one session to help out my dog and he has changed his life around completely, my dog was very nervous around new people but that didn’t phase Alex at all, he took the lead straight away and started to get to work. My dog did jump up on him a few times and muzzle punched him but after about 3 maybe 4 times, Alex showed how to professional he was and showed his ability to completely change the way a dog thinks, reacts and acts. He was also amazing with showing me and my friend on how to make sure my dog doesn’t fixate on things around him and to direct his attention to us and keep his focus on us. I couldn’t recommend Alex and his expertise anymore, especially after so many people turned away after I was asking for help and he was the person/company to approach me and tell me that he could help! Cant speak highly enough of Alex. I was a bit sceptical however he has changed my life. Big statement but its true. Walking my GSD to local park or around the street was a no no. So stressful as my boy was pulling and reactivate towards other dogs. I looked like i had no control over him on others would comment. After hiring Alex to walk and train my reactive rescue a couple of months ago, we went out today for a 1-1 so he could show me how he walks him etc.
I cannot explain the difference in the nervous, reactive dog he was previously to the easily manageable, happy baby my boy was today! We were able to go on a full walk with people and dogs everywhere under complete control and let the dog just enjoy being a dog.

I've contacted alot of trainers before finding elite dog training. Most refused to work with my dog because of his breed but Alex stepped up to the plate. Alex has gave us really good advice and training techniques to apply daily to help our dog. Just the two hours today was enough to show us that our dog isn't a lost cause that we just have to live with him being nervous of everything, we can build his confidence. Alex is very upfront and honest when he talks, which I admire as most trainers beat around the bush. Its reassuring that alex is only a message away if and when we need him. I have been struggling more and more with walking my very strong 6 month old puppy. I was being dragged down the street! Alex was very helpful. He explained in simple terms where I had been going wrong and what I need to work on to get my dog walking on a loose lead and also helped with crate training . He stayed until he was sure I was happy and confident with what I need to do. I am looking forward to working on his techniques and having a well behaved dog. I am so glad that Elite Dog Training was recommended to me, we initially used their services to help my mum with her Labrador, mum was struggling so much with the dog pulling her, she fell over once and broker her fingers, it was really getting her down. However, after getting in touch with Elite dog training, and Alex showing mum and explaining what she needed to do, mum was able to get red walking nicely on the lead. I subsequently asked Alex to come back to us to help with both mums and my dog and their behaviours in the house, particularly with the crate. Alex has so much knowledge and expertise, and he made it so clear to understand not only the reason why the dogs behave in a certain way, but also what you need to do as an owner to help and how perseverance and consistency is key. After not a great experience with the dog walker I previously had, Alex at Elite Dog Training has completely changed my life when it comes to my reactive rescue with his walk and train program. My dog was struggling to walk outside the house without reacting to passers-by and other dogs due to his nervous nature and Alex has transformed him into a calm, collected dog when out with him which has filtered into my own walks too. I am now able to take him out without stressing about who is around and how he will react.
Alex is also constantly giving advice and help outside of his train and walk hours that have helped endlessly with all parts of dog mum life!
