I contacted DGS to discuss the options for a replacement of an existing floor-standing Worcester Bosch Combi boiler. There was a direct replacement model available which would be a simple task to implementOn further analysis with DGS, the option of a new generation wall-mounted Worcester Bosch Combi Boiler was explored. This had the benefit of meeting all the hot water and central heating demands, very environmentally friendly and, gas efficient. Most importantly, moving the floor-standing boiler to a wall-mounted model in the garage, freed up extra space in the utility roomDGS removed the existing boiler, re-engineered the piping into the garage and fitted the new WB Greenstar Lifestyle Combi Boiler very quickly. I'm one of these type of people that do my research and get several quotes for almost everything I pay for. Well after nursing our old central heating boiler for several years we had to bite the bullet and get a new one installed. I did loads of research, both online and verbally locally. I received abut a dozen different quotes from various companies and individuals and was astonished at the difference in prices - and most of the quotes were for the same make and type of boiler! They differed by almost £1900 ! Anyhow after receiving a recommendation I got a quote from DSG and after meeting them and receiving their quote, I picked them for the job. I must say, I picked the correct firm. Both Stephen and Derek were excellent workman. They were friendly, efficient, tidy in their work, and most of all, you just knew you could trust them - and not just to do a great job! Called DGS for a quote to replace my old broken combi boiler, Stephen & Derek came within 2 hours and gave a very reasonable priced quote for fitting a new Worcester Bosch Combi boiler. They were able to reschedule jobs to install my new boiler within a few days, they arrived promptly on the scheduled day and within hours had the new boiler up and running. They took the time to explain how the new programmer and boiler worked, the work was done to a very high standard and they left the house spotless. I contacted Steve and Derek so that they could assess my heating system as my boiler was under performing.They were very helpful and friendly, the advice they gave was spot on. They clearly explained all the options open to me, there was no pressure to choose and in the end I upgraded my boiler along with a filter and replacement pump. Having done a bit of research and sought other quotes Steve and Derek were by far the best price.The installation was carried out only a few days after confirming the order and was arranged for a time suitable to me, they were very efficient and cleared any rubbish or mess.They even registered the boiler for the warranty and have scheduled an annual service.Since the install Derek and Steve returned to check the system was working properly and to check the filter at no extra cost. The performance of my central heating system had been deteriorating to the point thats rads were barely more than tepid. A friend recommended DGS so i got in touch. I was sure that the pipework in the older part of the house needed replaced and engaged them on that basis. The guys arrived bang on time and rather than costing me more money, by simply following my request, took time to thoroughly check the system, identifying, repairing rather than simply replacing, a faulty blending valve, flushing and cleaning out the existing pipework, and restored it to full health in a morning and at very reasonable cost. Dundee Gas Services were enthusiastically (and separately) recommended to us by two friends - and I can now understand why. When Stephen and Derek arrived to estimate, I was impressed by their friendly and professional approach. A fully costed estimate quickly arrived and a date for work to commence was agreed. A fortnight before work could begin however, our old boiler broke down but fortunately, and without any fuss, Derek and Stephen were able to reschedule. To be totally frank and honest, Derek and Steve from Dundee Gas Services are the best service engineers we have ever encountered! They appear exactly when they say they are going to ... or if they are going to be late for any reason ring to say so ... and can be relied on to quickly spot what the fault is and sort it. Great experience. First class service. No need for prior fear when replacing whole new heating system in 120+ year old house with an upstairs and no attic for manoeuvre, including pipes, boiler, radiators and disposal of tanks to make way for a combi boiler.
