Unprofessional and No Idea.

Instructed Dukes on behalf of a commercial landlord to recover rent from a commercial tenant. They received a letter from the tenant's lawyer disputing the CRAR proposal which was without evidence but, which threatened Dukes with court action if they continued. It was evidently a bluff by the lawyer to stop the enforcement and it worked, Dukes ran away wasting the landlord's time and failing to collect the unpaid rent.

Dukes stated in email they were more concerned about their reputation than pursing the debt.

Perhaps they should educate themselves on the law they claim they can enforce? More...

Having been conned out of a four figure sum of money by a local rogue trader, I pursued the debt unsuccessfully myself over a period of months by phone calls to his mobile and landline, text messages, email and recorded delivery letter. After speaking further with Trading Standards, I eventually applied and was granted a County Court Judgment against the defendant. There was still no response from the defendant and I was faced with a number of choices (oral examination in the County Court, charging order, application to make bankrupt, send in the bailiffs etc or give up) as to what course of action to take next.The advice I then received from contacting Dukes Bailiffs Limited was very professional and realistic.
