Q&As

Along with working along side the customer and being part of a hard working team, we excel at both number crunching and using the latest technology.
With number crunching we look down to the last penny and we won't rest until found.
With technology and as a former employee of one of the world's leading IT services company in a technical support role, we don't fear todays technology, we embrace it, so much so, we can help you on that road! We will also assist you to decide which software will be best suited to your business without being bias to any particular vendor.

Having opted to take a generous redundancy package from my last employee, an opportunity arose to retrain and become a service provider. After researching possible ventures and having always enjoyed number crunching back in school, it became a no brainer but to move into the world of accountancy. Further research led me to the ICB and noting that they were not only the world's leading organisation for bookkeeping, but also have HRH Prince Michael of Kent as a Royal Patron. The ICB have earned a reputation as the premium and toughest bookkeeping qualifications in the UK. Once the required 3 qualifications had been achieved, I applied and successfully obtained an ICB practice licence in 2010.

Did you know that all accountancy service providers operating as a public practice must be regulated by an authorised body?

Not only do your accounts need to be fit for purpose, but your business also needs to be fit for purpose as well. As an registered and certified ICB bookkeeper, we are made fully aware in advance of all new related finance and legal legislations. As a business with employees you may have recently under gone the latest payroll legislation called RTI (Real Time Information), governed by HMRC. Then there was Auto Enrolment (The Workplace Pension) as per the Pension Act 2008, which is governed by the Pension Regulator. In May this year the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), an EU directive was introduced to replaced the aged Data Protection Act 1998. As GDPR impacts both individuals and businesses, we worked alongside the ICB, our customers and our suppliers (including account software vendors), to ensure that we were all aware of our responsibilities and have in place in readiness. The next legislation is known as Making Tax Digital, a staging process starting in 2019, which is to remove the option to submit financial returns by paper.

All this and we still charge our services at a reasonable rate!
