This involves thinking outside the box and undertaking additional research using HMRC manuals.
Interacting with individuals from various walks of life makes the job really interesting and enables me to build a rapport with various people from different culture which is an invaluable insight to various cultures and practices.
Significant change in legislation enables me to network more regularly with my peers which is a good way to learn from others and share ideas.
What inspired you to start your own business?
There is a need for open, honest and knowledgeable accountants who are fully qualified and have a wide range of experience to service individuals and businesses. A lot of firms lack the service levels that clients require. As such a gap in the market was spotted.
Running your own business provides a sense of achievement and satisfaction as you can make a significant difference by adding value in the business and financial objectives for business owners.
The comfort of working the varied hours that can suit both clients and me is a great bonus. This ensure that I do not lose out on valuable family time especially when the kids are currently young.
