Jamie is incredibly professional, timely and creative. He took the time to understand my own brief fully and did everything possible to ensure the photos he took were the best they could be (my event was a fairly large family party). What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Being able to tell a story through an image is the key to taking a great photograph. Anyone can take a technically 'perfect' image but being able to capture a narrative, emotion or feeling through photography & convey that to your client is what really sets great photos from good ones.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I love having pre-shoot chats with my clients as it gives me the opportunity to really understand their needs. Discussing shoot logistics & timings is an obvious essential but gaining that understanding of what a client loves (or hates) prior to shooting means I have all the tools I need to deliver the best possible work for them.
What do you love most about your job?
I love capturing those little moments during events that otherwise would go unnoticed. Whether it's a friendly glance between two people, a loving embrace or something completely different; it's that feeling when you've captured a great moment in time that your clients can look back on that I love the most about being a photographer.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I worked as an in-house photographer for various companies for several years but always wanted to open my own photography business. I love being able to tell a variety of stories from different backgrounds, whether it be food shoots for restaurants to large-scale festival photography, which owning my own business allows me to do.

My greatest asset is being able to adapt my skills into any situation. From small, intimate gatherings to large-scale events, I have continued to successfully keep my clients ecstatic by understanding & delivering exactly what they want. No two jobs are the same & I approach every shoot I do with a 100% client-first attitude.
