If you looking for a dog trainer in MK or surrounding area look no further than Helen at doggiedodoggiedon't a qualified trainer with actual recognised qualifications not like some I could mention who think that some random Internet course makes them qualified.
I started taking my current dog to doggiedodoggiedon't training with Helen when he was 12 weeks old for socialisation and have continued through the courses on offer level 1,2,3 plus additional and I have to say I have not come across a better trainer.
My dog enjoys his time training with Helen so much and I have to admit I actually look forward to the sessions myself, while being enjoyable they are also very informative teaching much needed skills along with in depth information as to when these skills would be useful.
The sessions are well structured and go at the dogs individual pace and are designed to teach both dogs and owners.
Helen is genuinely passionate about dogs their training and wellbeing and has provided advice on a number of occasions outside of training sessions which have helped ensure our dog has been able to progess in a really positive way.
I have also been fortunate enough to experience the 1 to 1 sessions for dogs with specific issues or reactivity and these are tailored to the individual dog and have seen the progress made by other dogs also from the start and end of these sessions.
Overall my experience of training with Helen over last 18 months with my dog has been extremely positive and worthwhile and don't think that our dog would have been the model citizen he is today without Helens help and experience.
One of the issues I had when looking for a dog trainer was I was aware that there are nowadays a large number of people claiming to be trainers / dog walkers etc that are unqualified or have done some random Internet course and now call themselves trainers. The thing that led me to choose Helen at doggiedodoggiedon't was that she is immensely qualified with actual recognised qualifications and hands on experience and it shows when training with her helping to identify an issue requiring veterinary advice which was confirmed by the vets the next day and because it has been identified early can be rectified without costly surgery later down the line.
Of note my dog was so well behaved at the vets and obeying all training commands they were shocked and asked who I was training with because he was that well behaved and responsive.
Thank you for all you have done for for our pup Helen we look forward to continuing to work with you for our ongoing training needs.
Its a shame I can only give 5 stars as you deserve more

Helen’s expertise in training puppies and troubled rescues, to individuals who have had a few issues along the way is second to none. I’ve seen her in action training and know many clients who have benefited from one to ones. I’ve also treated her own dog with physiotherapy/hydrotherapy and he is exceptionally well behaved. Helen is a brilliant dog trainer. Not only is she professional, patient and extremely knowledgeable, she only uses positive methods which was so important to me when initially searching for a trainer/behaviourist for my 2 dogs. Helen's teaching style is great and so easy to work with; every 1-2-1 she fills me with confidence which I know my dogs pick up on, making the whole process so much easier. We have just finished level two with our cockapoo Charlie and he loved it! Helen is amazing, speaks so much sense and you learn so much you don’t mind standing in the middle of a field in the freezing cold getting rained on for a couple of hours. Being our first family pup, I didn't have a clue where to start with training. Thank you Helen for teaching us, as a family how to start training our little fluff ball.
I loved that all of the training is re-enforced with reward. I'm sure loons starved herself on training day, knowing she was going to fill herself up on treats at training :)

We're half way through puppy class and had our first 1 to 1 home visit with Helen last night. Helen really takes the time to understand your dog's needs and build up a personalised training plan. We've been very impressed with her knowledge of dog psychology and her hands on approach to training. We're not able to make all of the puppy classes but still consider the upfront fee excellent value for money and have seen our pup benefit more from 2 classes with Helen than the entire previous course we completed with another trainer. I can highly recommend using Helen, either for a home visit (we had two) and for training. We've never had a dog before and she has been able to advise us through the best way to deal with any issues that have arisen with our Boxer puppy(and there have been quite a few, he's stubborn, dominant, playful, occasionally a bit aggressive to name a few! ) If something didn't work we would try something else and in Training she makes sure the whole group are happy with each command etc until she moves onto something else. Helen is just a great human, the fellow humans love her as do the doggies! Hehe. She has a great positive learning (coaching ) technique that really involves the owner learning more then the dog! Helen is a fantastic trainer for doggies, adults and kids! She has a very easy approach and makes you feel comfortable and confident very quickly. We have a stubborn frenchie and have so far had a 1-2-1 with Helen, attended a children's workshop (which the kids loved and learnt a lot from) and are currently participating in level 1 training. Doggiedodoggiedont Level 1 Puppy Training is great! Taught us ,as owners , how to train our puppy’s with the basics of dog handling in a fun and friendly and safe way!
Helen is a fantastic dog trainer not only with the pups but also with us owners! Patient and caring and makes the lessons enjoyable. Stella also was present on some lessons and was also very helpful reassuring us when our puppy “Sybil” became distracted., giving us useful tips and encouragement.

As we approach the end of what can only be described as 'not what we signed up for' I can look back and honestly say that without Helen's help and guidance we would not have got through it. We got our Vizsla puppy at the beginning of the year and needed every bit of help and guidance we could get. Helen's approach to training (positive reinforcement) has helped us so much. We have had a few 1-2-1 sessions and completed levels 1,2,2 and 3 training classes and will continue learning together (Millie & I) next year. Helen is totally dedicated to helping us humans help our four legged friends to be the best they/we can be together. We often find ourselves saying 'Helen says ....' and have the list of 'rules' on the board for all to see, and any visitors have to adhere to those 'rules'. Helen is great, and would recommend highly to anyone looking for puppy or adult dog training / behavior work.
My dog was attacked a couple of times in a short space of time and due to his breed other dog training companies i had reached out to in Milton Keynes assumed he was aggressive and a high risk dog, so i continued to look for a dog trainer who's first response wasn't a stereotypical assumption - and that is when i found Helen / doggiedodoggiedont, first contact was no assumptions at all, Helen arranged to come meet me and my dog to discuss issues i had etc, since monthly sessions he is no longer nervous and i am able to socialize him more and more as time goes on.
Worth every penny and will continue to visit!
