Lots of local sitters/walkers available locally at reasonable prices (although the 'service charge' added to each and every booking means you pay more than the advertised amount on each sitter's page! ). All those contacted responded and I was able to meet them with my dog before deciding on who to book with. This gave both the sitter and I an opportunity to see if we felt the arrangement would work. I would not recommend anyone leave their dog with someone who they haven't met/seen the premises before booking! It's an easy to use service, but the service fees are quite high per booking (around 7%) - don't forget to include them in your budget. More...

Great site for finding local dog sitters, tells you who is available for your dates and reviews from other customers. Arrange to meet them so you know your dog will be happy with the carer and the environment is right for them.

We have been very busy since joining the DogBuddy community. The website works well and has introduced us to lots of new four legged friends. As a sitter, the commission does seem quite high for the initial introduction - but the peace of mind that you have all the necessary insurances in place is essential. Bad experience.
Dog sitter was paid on the site and the further extorted £75 in cash away from site and held puppy saying it would go to a shelter if she did not receive the cash first.
Other dogs in sitter's care were locked up and constantly barking.
