The Mid Ulster Sanctuary has WONDERFUL staff that are so caring for all their cats and dogs, looking for their forever home? They create a happy and clean environment and have fun days to help encouraging the public to visit, and to raise money to help these poor pets, that have not had the best start in life. The cattery is unbelievable very relaxed and more like a 5 star hotel! The dogs look very alert and happy, andthe kennels are spotless! The one area for improvement....but through no fault of the Sanctuary, is to add heating for the dogs as they have some residence through no fault of their own, cannot be rehomed.Well done to all the earth Angel's helping our furry friends xxx More...

I went to this place because I was looking to adopt a dog but actually it was harder that I expected... First of all you have to choose a dog, apply for the dog and you can be in the waiting list. ..you have to visit the dog 3 times and if they like you, you must go 3 times to visit the dog and then... They will come to your house to do the home checking... the process is to long... so we decided to go to Paws and people and they were fast, we went there, we choose the puppy , they came to our house with the puppy to do the home checking and that was it... I understand every dog is different but I think if you do the process faster you will avoid having a lot of dogs waiting to be adopted... Overall I really aprecciate their work. More...

A very worthwhile charity the looks after a great number of rescue animals each year. I have had 2 dogs from them both with their own unique needs but both are wonderful loving characters. They have a lot of volunteers who give there time helping the charity to walk the dogs. There are also a number of dogs that can't be rehomed but will be looked after by the staff for the rest of their days. More...

We adopted three cats here recently after losing a beloved lone feline. The staff were understanding and compassionate, and were happy to accept his leftover food for their shelter cats. When we were ready to look at the animals awaiting adoption, they were attentive and happy to answer any questions, and gave us all the information we needed, including the good and bad aspects of each. When we'd made our decision, they were quick at making arrangements for a home visit, being flexible to suit our lives, and kept us informed every step of the way. Afterwards, they were eager to hear how the cats were settling in and were responsive to any questions and concerns we had. For obvious reasons, I hope not to have to use their adoption service often, but am confident that if I do, I'll be in good hands. Anybody else considering them would be able to feel the same. I will continue to give back with donations and hope that when time permits, with volunteer work. Definitely allow them to show you the same experience they showed me, and consider giving something back when they inevitability exceed your expectations. More...
