Have recently had the pleasure of meeting Rachel and benefitting from her vast knowledge and expertise! My Chinese Crested is my world but unfortunately has suffered with what I now know is largely anxiety, since I've had him. Both me and my partner were present during our session and have chatted so much about it, how were already seeing the benefits, and have learned so much about our own dog- that we've had for 2 +1/2 years! Our only regret is not doing this sooner. Mushu isn't a naughty boy- just misunderstood! And Rachel helped us see this. We're on our.. way to a happier dog and happier, calmer household.Have included this pic, because it is the first 'selfie' my partner has taken with Mushu! Their bond has already improved, since we all understand one another better now..you know what I mean Rachel :D thank you. More...

I am currently gaining work experience with Rachel. She is fully qualified and extremely knowledgeable. The way she rehabilitates dogs with behavioural difficulties is very professional and effective. Rachel has had amazing results by providing an indepth examination with positive reinforment to dog and one to one guidance for owner. I have learnt some amazing skills and training by working with her and promote this service highly. More...

Q&As

Obviously seeing the improvement as pets progress through treatment is amazing, but also the relief when owners realise their pet isn't 'naughty' or 'nasty', when they understand how a problem has developed and is maintained.

I loved my collie Domino and he was nearly killed by another dog and developed serious behaviour problems. I already had a degree in Psychology and had completed modules on animal learning and cognition as part of that and did my dissertation on how horses learn. I was really fortunate to be able to do a Masters and just absolutely loved everything about the subject of animal behaviour and, of course, being able to help my boy. I got a job running a degree in applied animal behaviour so was teaching companion animal & equine behaviour, doing research and doing consultations to give students practical experience and when I left that job I didn't want to stop consulting so carried on!

I understand how stressful and scary it can be when a pet has a behaviour problem, but more importantly I truly understand how much you love them because I love mine in the same way! That's very much at the heart of what I do and only ever use kind, science-based methods so that you can have absolute confidence in the treatment plan.
