Spoke to Kam, was very pleasant and helpful, offered to pay him the deposit the week after we spoke and he AGREED to book us in.
I was unfortunately taken into hospital and then had to visit my very poorly father so it completely slipped my mind. Emailed him on Saturday evening to say I hadn't forgotten about him and will get the deposit over in the next few days only to be told he now has booked someone else for that day.
Communication was very poor, as a provider he should have emailed to ask if I still needed his service after he didn't receive the deposit, a courtesy email from Kam would have solved all problems. I am now without a DJ for my wedding which has caused a tremendous amount of stress and upset.
I appreciate I didn't get the deposit over in time but as someone that owns my own company if you haven't heard anything the right thing to do is send an email to make sure everything is OK and on track to go ahead, NOT to just cut the customer out and book someone else in their place.
Very disappointing.
