My daughter's confidence in maths has been transformed. She has gone from an "I can't do it" bundle of nerves to a confident girl getting fab results in top set! Her set doesn't matter to me but the personal confidence and growth mindset is worth every penny and more. So grateful to Sheila. More...

My name is Eden and I am ten. In year 5 I really struggled with Maths, it made me cry and get frustrated. I met Shelia and had a chat which was helpful and made me feel better because she helped me see what I could do. She found me Zoe who comes to my house every week. Zoe has given me help and confidence because she is fun and goes through things slowly. We use lots of bold colours to make my work bright and colourful and every time I master something I put it on my ‘belt of confidence’, so I can see how much I have learnt. At school I can do Maths, I don’t get frustrated anymore because Zoe taught me to leave questions and go back and that I can learn from my mistakes. She has taught me that there is more than one way to do things. I recently did some tests at school and I got an award for my progress. I am really proud of myself and what I’ve overcome and I really recommend Zoe, she is the most fun teacher I have ever had! More...

I feel so lucky to have been introduced to Sheila from Discover and Be. Both my daughters have been tutored by Sheila and she has completely changed their attitude to learning. She has given them the power to believe that they are capable of solving Maths problems and a "can do " attitude which flows across aspects of their school work.Sheila fills her lesson time with fun, laughter and encouragement and is always one step ahead of their school work.Sheila has become a much loved big sister to both my girls! A wonderfully nurturing, patient and very engaging teaching style. Each session is varied, fun, creative and inspiring, and we couldn't be more delighted with our twins' weekly piano and ukulele lessons, and the progress they have made with Discover and Be.

I am very grateful to have had the lovely Jo tutoring my son for the last year. He had had a difficult time in his previous primary school and Jo has helped him overcome that and have the confidence to return to learning. He has grown very fond of her over the last year and will miss her lots. I can’t recommend Discover and Be highly enough. Thank you! More...

Rhiannon is wonderful and talented instructor, she always welcomes my daughter and makes her comfortable. She is an experienced teacher with lots of patience and loves. My daughter always find her lessons is a good fun. She selected different piece of music and created own music story to help my daughter to remember the syllabus. Sometime she allowed my daughter choose what she wants to play .. In this way, my daughter has developed a passion of learning how to play the piano and practicing happily. More...

Discover & Be is our favourite class, we've been coming since my daughter Annabelle was 8 months old, she's now 17 months and really loves the messy play session. Rhiannon and Sheila are fantastic with all the children and so patient, kind and nurturing. There is a different theme every week with different play stations and always a craft area where you can make something to take home. We have story time half way through the session and finish off with a sing along. Annabelle loves it when Rhiannon gets her guitar out and often stands right in front of Rhiannon in awe while she's trying to sing to the group. Annabelle hops onto Sheila's lap during the sing along too but they don't mind. There's always a cup of tea and some biscuits for the mum's and squash and breadsticks for the babies / toddlers. Even my husband enjoys coming along to this group (he's not so keen on any of the other groups we go to). More...

My daughter absolutely loves going to Discover and Be. Sheila and Rhiannon are brilliant, and really interactive. There are so many activities to join in with, my daughter particularly likes to sit in the cleaning tub for the paint! She also loves dancing around at music time. Can't recommend it enough, we go every week. More...

I look forward to every Friday it's my day off work with my 16 month old son Bertie. We go to the group in Cuckfield. The best way to end the week. He absolutely loves it. The group is so warm and friendly and relaxed. The Themes and books each week are fantastic so much to do and amazing sensory, fun, interactive and so creative each week the activities. The sensory and messy play is just brilliant. We always take spare clothes as Bertie's new trick is paddling in the water . It's the only group I do with Bertie as I'm Working. When I was on maternity leave we went to lots of different groups. I would always choose Discover and Be . Bertie is so happy and runs into the session every week and loves seeing Sheila and Rhiannon every week. He cried today leaving. Thank you ladies More...

I take my daughter to the Cuckfield session and she loves it. The freedom of the way it is set up is great..some weeks she just wants to sit and take in what the other children are doing, and some weeks (like today! ) she gets stuck right in, covers herself in paint and eats all the spaghetti! Music time is her favourite part, Story time is mine - the ladies that run it are so interactive and always have us giggling. Great little group, thankyou x More...

The instruments & singing is really nice way to end the session. And the fact that I don't have to tidy up is even better! I would highly recommend. More...

My daughter's confidence has grown so much, since starting weekly tutoring sessions with Discover and Be, that she has won herself a place in a Childrens Poetry Anthology "Sense Poetry - Amazing Sensations" to be sent to The British Library and other libraries throughout the UK and Ireland. Helped by Sheila's wealth of experience, gentle approach and dynamic teaching my daughter was encouraged to explore poetry through the senses and has created a wonderful poem to grace the shelves of readers for years to come. There is something for everyone at this fantastic, stimulating, child led session- messy play, craft, singing, instruments, story telling, games, small world, puzzles, snacks, drinks. My three pre schoolers love exploring each beautifully thought out theme every week. Also the 2 ladies who run it ensure that everyone is happy and there is always a fabulous friendly atmosphere. Each child is encouraged to explore in their own way and anything goes. (eg children don't have to join in with the story or singing if they would prefer to continue being creative in the messy corner or are too fixated with one of cool activities to leave). I would highly recommend this unique little gem of a session, full of wide eyed little learners and happy parents reliving their childhood! :-D More...
