We had a very small child's bedroom which had an awkward layout with never enough storage, which meant our daughter didn't really like being in it. She really needed something more grown up and has lots of lego, books and soft animals, which needed storing! Beverley from dillon&beth was incredibly enthusiastic and was great to work with as she was determined to create a room that our daughter loved being in. We are delighted with the end result and the room feels totally transformed despite Beverley working to keep as much of the original room and layout as possible in order to minimise costs. Our daughter loves her new room and loves being in it now. More...

I was struggling with knowing where to start with updating my living room so contacted dillon&beth who suggested a colour consult, which sounded like a great starting point. After a long conversation to work out what I liked and anything I didn't like they sent me a few options of really lovely colour schemes that co-ordinate with existing furniture in my room, which was really important for me. They also suggested some updates which I can buy in the future, which is something to look forward to! More...

Beverley from Dillon&Beth completely understood what we were looking for with our loft extension bathroom and bedroom. She was really quick to respond to our initial enquiry and was friendly and approachable throughout. Beverley was really accommodating to our often changing requests and it was really useful being able to see the rooms brought to life with mood boards and layouts. Beverley managed our budget well and created two lovely rooms which we absolutely love. In the bathroom she combined a really beautiful high-end vanity unit with other more cost-effective pieces to keep within the budget. Would thoroughly recommend. More...

Q&As

I start with a consultation either on person or on the phone to discuss the client's brief in terms of the physical aspect of the work including rooms and their function and how they would like them to be and feel. We'll also discuss exactly how I can help which might range from sourcing some furniture items for the client to buy, to being fully involved in pulling a team together for a full refurb including project management throughout. I also like to get to know a client a bit in order to understand their needs so I run through a questionnaire to give me a better idea of who my client is.
If we both feel that we'd like to proceed I will do a property visit where I'll take lots of photos of the rooms in the brief and I might do take some initial measurements, depending on what's needed.
I'll work with the brief to put a proposal together, which will include all the work that is to be carried out at the property plus my design fee based on what the client needs from me.
If this proposal is accepted I will share a contract including a payment structure and timings and once this is signed we will start the project.
I keep in regular contact with my clients, updating them on what I'm working on as much of the time there's a lot going on behind the scenes!
The general process would then me to create mood/concept boards with sourced images to convey the aesthetic and feel of the room. Then onto product boards with sourced items and layouts to show where furniture would sit. These would be to scale to make and any elevations needed would be shared too, say for furniture design, wall light placements etc. Then once everything is approved we move into purchasing and then finally deliveries and installation.
Once we are on-site I visit as much as is required within the needs and parameters of the project. I try to be as available and flexible as I can and fit around client's schedules where possible.

A good designer can work within any brief and taylor a scheme the meet the needs and tastes of their client, however, my signature style would be one that blended both old and new, bespoke, high street and high end. I love working with colour and pattern and encourage clients to bring their personality into their home whether that's creating a picture wall full of happy memories, making soft furnishings out of fabrics bought from foreign countries or making a focal point with art they love or objects sourced.

I love that every project is different and is an opportunity to create something unique for that client. I like creating personal spaces for people that makes their lives more comfortable, with better functionality that they love.

I've always loved houses, the architecture and what's inside. Having spent years doing my own properties up and enjoyed the satisfaction that the process of creating something unique brings, I wanted to share this with others, working collaboratively.

I'm a very hands on designer who likes to get to know the client, their needs and lifestyle to bring them something that is unique to them. I obviously have my own taste, but the interesting part is tailoring a scheme to meets the client's brief and being driven to do the best job i can so my client is happy.

Yes I can provide services on-line. Depending on the client's needs, if they needed a room layout and furniture bought then I would just require detailed room measurements and photos/video of the room so I could build scaled floor plans/elevations/3D models.

I am very happy to wear a mask when at a client's property if they are more comfortable this way.

Lighting plays a key role is creating the desired feel in any home. The key to a successful scheme is using different layers of lighting that are used at different times of the day and evening. This could be as minimal as the right placing of some additional table lamps or involve some additional wiring to achieve the desired feel.

You might just need help with a small project that isn't a full room design but is the missing piece in achieving a finished scheme. This might be things like:
* the right window treatment
* sourcing a piece of furniture
* re-upholstery for a piece of existing furniture
* sourcing a piece of vintage furniture
* bespoke soft furnishings to tie in with an existing scheme
