Micky was friendly, professional and didn't make me feel like an idiot for some elementary mistakes. What kind of accounting services do you provide?
I provide a wide range of services from data entry, to software installation and training, monthly/quarterly financial statements, credit control, payment runs, payroll, cashflow...all of a business' day to day financial requirements.
Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?
An accountant can provide tax planning and business advice, statutory accounts etc, while I as a bookkeeper will prepare your documentation for the accountant to minimise their time spent and save you money and enable them to really get to grips with what they can offer your business.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the logic of a spreadsheet and a nice and neat bank account ;) I also love being handed a pile of paper to sort out hence my specialist service, Emergency Bookkeeping!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I spent several years training and qualifying as a Licensed Bookkeeper with AAT. I was made redundant in March 2018 and took this as the push I needed to take the plunge and become self employed!
