I was so worried about leaving my baby when we went on holiday but the minute I met Rebecca and dexter I just knew Duncan would have a fantastic time. Rebecca has been coming to do home visits with our girls for a few months now and we are really pleased. We have had the same dog sitter for them since our labrador was 6 months old and she's now 10 so when she gave it up at Christmas we were worried about how we would manage. We found Rebecca and couldn't be happier. She had even won over our very shy little springer. As a first time dog owner I was very nervous about leaving my 5 month old Labrador puppy, Buddy. But when I met Rebecca I knew she would look after him as if he were her own. I first met her during the day so I could see her in action with the dogs in her care. Her 4 year old Labrador, Dexter has such a lovely nature and was endlessly patient while Buddy bounded around him. She spent over an hour talking to me and any fears I had about leaving Buddy were quickly allayed. Her home is completely dog proof right through to the artificial grass she has in the garden so the dogs can play out whatever the weather. She has her own van with separate crates inside so the dogs travel safely when she takes them out for a walk. I’m so pleased I’ve found Rebecca (and Dexter) to look after Buddy for me. More...

Rebecca is amazing she is so professional I know I can relax
when Gibbs is with her she takes extra care as she knows my dog can be reactive.
I cannot praise her enough every time gibbs goes there he is so well looked after he always come back tired and for a Dalmation that is hard to achieve.

What inspired you to start your own business?
We decided to set up Dexters Pet Pals after looking for options of where to leave our dog "Dexter" to go on holiday. We had always been fortunate enough to have family to dogsit for us, but when this wasn't possible any longer we needed a safe reliable option where Dexter would be happy and we would be happy to leave him. After visiting many kennels and pet hotels we realised what terrible options were available for pet owners when they need to go away.
Why should our clients choose you?
At Dexters Pet Pals we love dogs, in our house dogs come first and we treat all dogs as if they are our own.
We own a four year old chocolate Labrador who is very sociable with both humans and animals of all kinds. He is very loving and really enjoys having pet friends come to stay.
We offer home boarding, day care, dog walking and home visits.
Dexeters Pet Pals is licensed by Nottingham City Council
I have specialist pet boarding and walking insurance which includes keyholding
I am canine first aid trained
