Personal Trainers

Day is a very professional personal trainer who meets your requirements and designs the perfect plan suitable for you. He is very encouraging and supportive and he follows from the beginning to make sure you work out properly and correctly.

Q&As

There are two types of client:
The first is someone with a specific goal - With these types of clients we start by understanding their deadline and then work backwards today. I can then design a program that ensures we peak at the right time for your goal to be complete.
The second is someone who just wants to train as part of a healthy life - With these types of clients we take a slower approach ensuring they can do the basics before progressing to harder exercises. We ensure training is challenging yet fun and we work together to mould a program around not only your body's specific needs and ability, but also around what you genuinely enjoy doing.

Understanding your mind and therefore your habits.
If you understand what makes you tick you will understand how to get the most out of your training and your nutrition.
Having spend more than 2 decades working one on one with clients, I really believe this is the formula to success.

Helping people achieve their goals.
Sometimes these goals are physical, (weight loss, rehab, building a more defined physique), sometimes they are about understanding themselves more.
The most rewarding client is the one that has tried to achieve the same goal many times without success and we crack their broken habits and finally get them to where they want to be.

Erm...I didn't like working for companies where I didn't agree on their philosophy or the way they handled their customers.
I love me job and want to be in full control of my customer service so being self-employed was the obvious way to go....wow, I sound like a terrible employee lol.

They should look at my website and if they feel we would work well together they should get in contact.
To get the best from your PT, you need to want to work with them. So, without side stepping the question, a client should only choose me if they feel we may be a good fit.
If they don't, there will be another PT they feel more affinity to and they should go with them :)

Coaching can definitely be done online and I do do that.
Personal Training is best in person as the way someone moves dictates what stretches/mobility/exercises are most appropriate.
During the lockdown, all my sessions are outdoor sessions. Once gyms open again, I'll get a roof back over my head and stop getting rained on.

We train outdoors and I keep my distance.
All equipment is cleaned before a session and immediately afterwards.
I provide hand sanitiser at the end of the session so the client can't spread any germs in their car.

Services

As well as Personal Training, I also offer Coaching.

When someone wants to achieve a goal, especially one that they have tried to achieve a number of times before but not been successful at, Coaching is probably the better place to start than Personal Training.

With Coaching we sit down and structure you goal breaking it into:

How to define your goal so that you avoid the usual pitfalls you probably have made before.

How to break your goal down into different habits and then how to layer them into your life one at a time allowing your goal to slowly fit into your lifestyle rather than try to bend your lifestyle to accommodate a new goal

We look at better ways of thinking about your goal in order to side step previous issues you had.

We monitor your habits week by week whilst I act as someone to hold you accountable for your daily actions and habits.

This is very effective for fat loss but be warned, this is not a quick fix. We work slowly in order to avoid making progress only to find ourselves slipping back into old habits and ending up back at the start.
