Headshot Photographers

Dan was very professional from our first conversation via email to running a corporate headshot photoshoot in two of our offices (Carlisle and Warrington). Our employees were very impressed at how professional Dan was but also how relaxed he made them feel! Thanks Dan, we'll be using you again in the future! More...

Headshot Photographers

I booked Dan for a headshot
shoot with my 5 year old.

Working with Dan was so much fun! Super communication all the way through and made sure I understood everything required. He brought a mini studio to my house! The photographs are brilliant, so many to choose from! Really, really pleased. More...

Q&As

This depends greatly on what the photo is of! Most of the time I would say that it's working well with your subject, making them feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera to get the best from them. Shoots should involve plenty of laughs and feel like fun, not be a terrifying experience!

Photoshoots:
- How will you use the final photos - are they personal, for online business advertising, for printing?
- How many photos are you looking to get?
- Is there a style, look or feeling you want with your photos?
- How many different people / objects do you need shots of?
- How soon do you need the finished shots?

Video shoots:
- What is the aim of the finished video?
- How long do you expect it to be?
- Where will it be used?
- Is there a shooting style or feel you are after?

I get to meet so many wonderful people and see the joy that photoshoots can bring. I regularly have people who arrive full or nerves who then get to the end of their shoot and say "I wish I'd done that years ago, it was so much fun!".

I had been working in TV for 10 years and wanted to move in a different direction. It had given me lots of skills and the confidence to be a freelancer working for myself.

I'm told that I am very good at working with people and bringing out the best in them. People like my positivity and ability to help. I'm good at planning a project in advance and working with you to make sure everything will go smoothly on the day.

I'm honest; if I don't think I am the right person for the job, I won't take it on.

Photo shoots in person only.

I can edit video content filmed by someone else if it's a good quality. It's always better if I have filmed it as I will have planned exactly how to shoot for the finished edit so that everything works smoothly.

I am happy to work wearing a mask if you would prefer, although this can break down the connection between me and the person being photographed. Working in a well ventilated environment wherever possible is best.

Services

I shoot a wide variety of areas, please read the about section for examples.

I can shoot and edit a wide variety of video types.

Whether you need a few 15-30 second online product adverts, a business profile piece, interviews or you want 100 instructional videos for your yoga channel, I'm happy to discuss your needs.
