We met her through another parent and we really appreciate her. She got along really well with our son, and he really enjoys the sessions with her. She's really professional and kind, and our son has improved so much in school. We are definitely going to continue with her. We recommend. More...

She is excellent. No complaints. She is very straightforward, kind and patient, and very understanding. She was everything we needed in a maths tutor. We were very lucky to find her straight away. We would recommend her ASAP More...

Cynthia really helped me pull my grades up. She listened to the problems I was having and the subject's I needed help with and managed to target her teaching to what I needed.
She was always kind and professional, and she never made me feel stupid for asking questions that where probably stupid.
All in all, my grades improved greatly and I would 100% recommend Cynthia as a tutor.

Incredible. I had trouble with understanding math equations and how to find solutions quickly so that I could answer more and score higher on exams. After 3 months I was able to answer all, if not 95% of all the questions on my practice exam papers. I use to only be able to answer about 65% of the paper.
Highly recommended.

Q&As

I love teaching and I love working with kids, I found that my patients and teaching style is actually a great fit for a lot of students as I was a high school student myself not too long ago and i remember what id like and dislike about my teacher's teaching method so I vowed to do my best and implement the aspects that I liked and worked well, in my own teaching style.

I have qualified in IGCSE and IB where I received As, and I am in my final year at the University of Strathclyde studying Biomedical Engineering with a distinction in all my classes, which makes me very adept at maths and physics.

I can provide services in-person (Glasgow) and online via zoom or Skype. Please contact for more details

Using remote learning has been great for both myself and my students to avoid travelling. But it has also been great to reach out to more students around the UK

Services

My aim is to build your confidence in your abilities and cater lessons to your individual academic needs.

Each session will involve explaining key concepts to give you a strong foundation on which to build further knowledge and understanding. Alternatively I can focus on specific areas you struggle with and work on those until you are comfortable.
I will also provide plenty of practice to cement your knowledge and understanding as well as equip you with tools to apply your knowledge to difficult questions

I am confident in my abilities to teach, as I tackle questions by breaking them down and providing step by step techniques to achieve the correct answer.

Each session is one hour long and suitable for primary and secondary school students including students studying towards GCSEs or Nat 5. Can have the lesson in my home, in a cafe in town, or at the Strathclyde library.

I personally struggled with some classes in school which impacted my academic abilities. Having a tutor helped me improve my academic performance and build my confidence. I hope I can help anyone who feels the same, gain confidence and excel in their studies!
