CYC Double Garage Conversion into offices and family room / gym. What started as a conversation on the back end of Covid, turned reality with all thanks going to Craig and the team at CYC. We had seen a post on Facebook from a previous project CYC had undertaken, and was reaching out as soon as we had see the last picture. Having the knowledge that the team had worked on similar properties gave further assurance in our decision making. Craig came round to give us a free no obligation quote, and was super helpful in everyone of my 1000 asks. We proceed to start the ball rolling with the Architect, who came recommended by CYC, this took us through the legality sides and at a cost cheaper than others id looked at. After other quotes, we made a decision to go with Craig, we literally bought into CYC from the off, local, knowledgeable, friendly and goes above and beyond. Literally cannot fault the craftsmanship from all the trades we had onsite. Barry and the CYC guys, Nicky, Gareth, Vince etc From day 1 they showed pure professionalism, and constantly keep us informed of what’s happening and when. Along with the two purpose built office spaces, we had the utility moved from the back of the house into the front, which also freed up some additional space in the back. Along with additional storage built in behind the mirrored doors. Win win To say we are delighted is an understatement. Some say losing a garage (never mind two) will be hard to cope with! Nonsense, the majority of it was just becoming a storage ground, and nothing a loft and a 8x6 shed cant fix. With both of us working from home we now have a purpose of closing the door behind us when the day is done, and having the freedom of our bedrooms back is priceless - our home is once more a home. Craig and his team recently transformed our house and we couldn’t be more delighted! His workmanship is impeccable, he takes such care over every detail and we couldn’t fault a single thing. Such a lovely guy too! He organised all the other trades for us so it made it really simple for us having one point of contact and one bill to pay at the end! The work he completed included flooring the loft (including Ramsey ladder and lighting), panelling the staircase, false chimney breast/tv wall in living room, picture frame panelling, knocking out a large larder cupboard, more panelling 🤪, replaced the worktops, sink, hob, hood, new kitchen cabinets, tiling and a utility room overhaul. We have just had decking installed in our garden. From the outset Craig was great, came out to measure, helped with some great ideas (as our garden is on a slope) and had the cost back to me the next day. After we accepted the cost Craig kept us updated on the material lead times and started exactly when we said he would. The decking is fantastic and looks great.
