I had the best time at curves studio! As a dark skinned woman I was worried that my makeup would not look good or the photos would be dim but I was WRONG! My makeup was phenomenal and the makeup artists are so knowledgeable! Claire got all my angles and I wish I could have gotten all my photos because they were STUNNING! Such a fun experience! Great to get some pampering with chocolate and a glass of bubbly. Staff were all super friendly. My makeup artist was great, especially as I wasn't sure what sort of makeup I would want and she was really good at suggesting what would suit me best. I have owed Curves a review for a little while now and I have been putting it off as I didnt know how to truly convey the experience. To put it simply, every single one of them is a lovely person. They really helped put me at ease and really made it a wonderful experience. Hair and makeup - done wonderfully, and a quick reaction to me unexpectedly reacting to the concealer (no fault of their makeup artist, my skin reacts to products with no rhyme or reason. They do require you to fill in a form to disclose any previous reactions/allergies and no products I mentioned there were used) Photographer - great with directions, made me feel comfortable amd confident, even gave little demonstrations which really helped The pictures - amazing quality. I cannot sing the curves team's praises enough. I won a free shoot and to say I was nervous was an understatement. On the run up to my session I had multiple calls and messages from the team running me through what to expect and what to bring. As soon as I walked in the team put me at ease. The makeup and hair was exceptional and exactly what I wanted I felt so good. When it was time for the shoot my photographer made me feel so comfortable and directed me into poses that made me feel sexy. She also managed to have a conversation with me while directing me which helped with the nerves. After viewing my pictures a week later I was amazed at how good I looked I couldn't just pick one. I totally recommend Curves Photography Studios. I went yesterday after winning a body confidence shoot. When I got there I panicked I couldn't breathe and decided I couldn't do it but before it got too much Katie my makeup artist came over and eased my worries. She spoke to me about something I'm passionate about distracting me from my thoughts and concerns about my body. I wanted to cry when I saw how beautiful I could be, she did a fantastic job with my hair and makeup. Liv was my photographer, being one myself in my spare time I found it difficult to do the poses but Liv was so lovely and patient and also calmed my anxiety about my body confidence. She knew I thought differently being on the autistic spectrum so allowed me to change my poses if I wasn't comfortable or physically couldn't do it due to balance issues. I had the BEST time at Curve Studios. From the moment I made my appointment everyone was so lovely. I was welcomed warmly and given some bubbly whilst I had my hair and make up done. Won a boudoir make over with one free photograph. Points lost for not asked about the make up look or colours I wanted Not told only do 3 changes of outfit. Seems a newish set up, with very typical white room n dark room. Although the blackout room was fantastic. Very empowering if you want slightly different style Most shots came out as I imagined, but the photographer was a little reticent about poses I suggested The best were the few I insisted be directed by me. How I wanted to look, where I wanted the shot from etc No alternative lighting filters, except in the dark room No photoshop of wierd flabby bits, or tattoo removal If it's your first time, they really put you at ease and totally take control, which is great for many women. I had an amazing time and would definitely recommend. I recently entered a competition on Facebook. I was lucky enough to win a boudoir photo shoot with curves. I went today and I must say my experience was fantastic! ! Sarah was fabulous she did my hair and makeup I felt so good 😊. Claire was my photographer she was amazing made me feel at ease straight away, she talked me through the whole shoot such a lovely person. I was scrolling through Facebook when a competition came up for a curves experience. Since having children I’ve struggled with how my body looks, I thought how nice would it be to feel better about myself, I usually run from the camera. Not thinking I would win I entered anyway and was over the moon when I was called the next day to be told I had won an experience! The experience of a glass of fizz on arrival, hair and makeup followed by a photoshoot a cinema experience to view my photos and my favourite photo free. I felt so nervous leading up to it as it was totally out of my comfort zone. When I arrived I was given a very friendly welcoming. Katie did my make up and hair, when we were chatting it felt like we knew each other not just met she was lovely, very professional and made me feel amazing. Once that was done I was met by Kat. This women is incredible, she is so warm, friendly, reassuring, talked me through everything and filled me with compliments making me feel a million dollars and like I was a natural infront of the camera. I was given a price list so I knew what to expect regarding prices of my photos and we booked my viewing appointment. I left and felt like I was floating and didn’t want my experience to end, I was someone else and not “mum” for a few hours. I got there for my viewing feeling more nervous than I did turning up for my shoot. The photos were AMAZING! Out of all the photos there were only 5 I wasn’t a fan of. Kat captured the photos perfectly! I highly recommend anyone considering doing it or anyone who is body conscious to give this a go. You won’t regret it! I won a boudoir photoshoot on Facebook. I was called whilst at work and surprised with this, I was so surprised. Booking in was easy, and only required a £20 deposit. I was then told a few days later that they had space for a friend to accompany me, so I obviously invited one, Amber, along with me. We arrived and were promptly made to feel welcome, with low alcohol bubbles and a piping hot cuppa! We then took it in turns to have our makeup and shoots done. By Caz, and then Kat respectively. Both were phenomenal! I'm 13 months postpartum, and honestly can't wait to view my photos on Tuesday. If they came out as good as I was made to feel, we're onto a winner! I did my photoshoot with Curve today and they were fantastic! I won the experience in a Facebook competition and was so, so nervous but the team there were lovely and I enjoyed it so much! Before my appointment, they were in contact with help on what to wear and how to arrive and I had a phone call the day before going over everything. Then, when I got there, I was welcomed in straightaway and given a drink before my hair and makeup was done. Hannah, who did my makeup, did an incredible job and i’ve honestly never had my hair look that good before! Everyone was chatty and friendly and really put me at ease. They gave me a form to fill out asking if I was conscious of any areas of my body or would like anything (like tattoos or scars) edited out, which was super helpful. After that I went through for the photo shoot with Claire, who was super sweet and we had such a fun time! She was so good with giving direction on how and where to stand because I was so lost with it all but she listened to me and my input as well. Overall it was such a fabulous experience and I genuinely don’t have the words to thank the girls at Curve enough for how much fun I had and how amazing I feel! I was lucky enough to win a free VIP experience with Curves. I was greeted by a very friendly staff, enjoyed the non-alcoholic bubbles (very much appreciated the variety! ), the makeup was done beautifully and I thoroughly enjoyed the photoshoot experience. My photographer was really great and encouraging, it really allowed me to feel sexy and it showed in the pictures too! The viewing session felt a bit more rushed, I think it would be more beneficial for clients if we somehow could also go back and forth between the pictures ourselves instead of asking the staff to flick back and forth. It felt more disconnected. I have also experienced issues with the USB provided, hopefully, this will be able to be sorted out with the staff soon once I receive a promised callback. I would 110% recommend anyone to use Curves. I won a boudoir shoot on a Facebook competition and went into it thinking I would be so embarrassed and shy.
