Al is an amazing guitar teacher as he is really knowledgable, tailors the lessons to suit my level and is just really friendly and easy to get along with! From the very start and as I started lessons 6 months ago as a complete beginner, Al has given a lot of thought in terms of how best to teach me and how to help me progress. The lessons are always great fun and challenging so that I can keep improving. I really enjoy and look forward to the lessons as I get so much out of them. Al gives me tasks and writes me notes at the end of each lesson so I have a structure as to how I can practice at home. Al is also really responsive and flexible with his hours which has been really useful for me.

Al is a friendly and passionate teacher who really takes into account what you want to achieve and your personal taste in music. I started lessons as a guitar novice and now have the confidence to play at gigs and open mic nights. My lessons were relaxed and Al made me feel at ease, even when I was making a lot of mistakes. Al is a very laid back and experienced guitar teacher. He gives some structure to the classes, but at the same time lets you choose the songs you want to play and directs the lessons towards your goals. Al is not only an accomplished guitar player, but he is also a natural when it comes to teaching. After years of learning from DVDs and YouTube, and trying a variety of different teachers, I’m very pleased to have found an enthusiastic and cheerful teacher who can provide a structured approach with clear, attainable goals.
