We hired Crocus to cater for our wedding in October and they were fantastic! Communication with them from start to finish was straight forward, we were able to have a tasting session to work out our meal choices (with incredibly generous portions! ) and most importantly the food was absolutely delicious. We had loads of compliments from guests about the food and the team were incredible at setting up and getting everything sorted on the day- we can't thank them enough. When planning our wedding we knew we wanted to provide good, tasty food for our guests. We weren’t keen on the food provided by our venue so decided to branch out and look at other options. Our wedding was fiesta themed, so paella was an obvious choice but with half of my family being Spanish/Latin I was a bit nervous serving paella knowing there would be some harsh critics on the guestlist. We went to try the delicious paella at a local festival and were blown away with the flavours. We also wanted to source as much of our wedding locally and sustainably and Crocus fit in with this ethos. On the day my family as well as all the guests said just how delicious the paella was, with ‘this is the best paella I’ve ever tasted’ being said a lot! All plates were cleared as my husband and I walked around the room, with many if not most people going up for second or third servings!! Crocus were so professional from the very first email sent and the various phone calls to iron out details for the day. They were also so accommodating with how to present the paella as we didn’t have space for the gazebo tent so they were happy to just set up indoors by working direct with the venue. If you’re looking to provide a good feed to guests, that’s tasty, looks great to the eye and want to work with some great suppliers we would 100% recommend Crocus to anyone looking for something a bit different at their event!! We recently used Crocus Paella for our festival style wedding. From start to finish it was amazing. We had the pleasure of talking to Jenny in the office, she was really personable & her communication was excellent. They catered for vegan, gluten free, no dairy, nut allergies & crohn's, to name just a few of our dietary requirements & information on this was really thorough. George lead a team on site, cooking up a storm. Every time I looked over, they were always smiling & interacting with our guests. We had so many compliments on the paella/tapas & the portion sizes were huge, great value & perfect to line our stomach's for the night ahead. The Crocus team gave us a brilliant experience, first cooking us a full English breakfast and then a delicious paella later in the day. . The breakfast that Danny did for us was really tasty and also looked so good. Both he and Ellie were also lovely looking after us all day and both the chicken and seafood paellas they made were truly fantastic and so much of it, even packing up what was left for us to enjoy the next day . Everyone really enjoyed it and it was a real special feature to a great day. We booked Crocus for our summer wedding. Booking was easy and they were really accommodating of us wanting vegetarian paella only and discussed with us what ingredients we would like most. Thank you so much! We absolutely loved the pallas. Everyone was so impressed with the 2 paellas (chicken and sea food) at our outdoor party with about 70 people! ! We've had a number of guests commenting on how great the food was as well as all of the staff. I would definitely recommend Crocus Paella again - the staff were sweet, punctual, professional and completely efficient. It was a lovely sunny day in mid-May, I had arrived at work and realised that I had forgotten the epicurean delight I had prepared myself the previous evening.
On contemplating what to substitute in for my sumptuous repast I remembered it was Friday; and that the street food market was open.
I had previously been recommended to try the Paella, and with the generous discount offered to OneFamily employees; I felt this would be a decision that could and would be vindicated.
I sauntered up and was greeted by three smiling faces. I had a choice between Chicken or seafood paella. I politely asked the gentleman serving me if I could have a mixed one; and with a skip in his step and a glint in his eye he chirpily replied “of course”. This very accommodating response was the first sign of the delights I was about to experience.
The rice was fluffy, the chicken skin was crispy yet the meat had managed to stay moist, the seafood was cooked to perfection; the mussels, prawns and squid which can often be tough had a soft texture that melted on the tongue. The garlic, saffron and paprika were perfectly balanced and did not overpower the delicate flavour of the seafood and chicken. It was good size portion that has left me feeling content, and in need of a post prandial siesta

Our recipes and experience come from our family background, who own a traditional restaurant in a small village near Alicante in Spain.
All our paellas are super delicious!
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
We listen to our clients special dietary requirements and we adapt our menu accordingly.
We can cater for vegetarians, vegans, coeliacs, or people with nut or other allergies.
What do you love most about your job?
Making people (or tummies) happy with your food, is just priceless!
What inspired you to start your own business?
Crocus Paella was born in 2013, when we first moved to Brighton. Inspired by the trending Street Food scene in London and having a passion for the Spanish gastronomical culture, we decided to combine the two and create our little business.
Our start up mission was to introduce Paella to the local community and establish it as a choice of meal in one’s daily diet. A great quality product as well as a mouthwatering experience that would gradually turn our customers into loyal repeaters.
Why should our clients choose you?
First of all...our name! Crocus Sativus, commonly known as saffron. We use one of the world's most intense and valuable varieties of saffron, Krokos Kozanis which makes our paellas super extra special!
