We were lucky enough to have Ian & Hazel do our wedding photography in April 2019 - they are so easy to communicate with running up to the event, and on the wedding days itself they were amazing! They blend in when you want them to blend in, and stick out when you need them to stick out! They have got wedding photography down to a T - and the photos we have are absolutely amazing and we couldn't have asked them to capture the day any better than they did!! I actually can't put into words how amazing Ian and Hazel are. They were both so relaxed and you wouldn't know they were there. When we booked them we thought we were booking photographers but they were so much more. They were both a huge help the morning of the wedding Hazel helping the girls get ready, even stacking the dishwasher and shutting the windows! Ian helping the men do all the button holes they made the morning so much easier for both of us. We gave a list of the photos we wanted, Ian arranged it just after the church and gave suggestions as and when to do things. He was amazing at getting everybody together. I was worried this would take a while but it didn't at all, we were at the venue in no time. We then had some photos just the two of us but again that was done in no time. Everybody commented how lovely Ian and Hazel were. They wasn't imposing at all. We love the photographs we have seen so far. If you are looking for a photographer book Ian he is absolutely brilliant. I would highly recommend Ian and Hazel. We were both so pleased with our beautiful photos and we were very impressed with how quickly they organised people for group photos after the ceremony so that people could get on and enjoy the day! They were not imposing and we often didn't even notice they were there taking pictures! Many of my friends and family also commented on how friendly they both were. Best photographers ever!!!! Ian & hazel are such lovely people who make you feel so relaxed and at ease, whilst also being super talented and creative. Our wedding pics are out of this world! We are so thrilled with them, they totally capture the essence of our day. And we hardly noticed Ian and hazel were there half the time! They literally just disappear into the background- we had no idea about half the photos until we got the final edit- a whopping 600+ images! Absolutely fabulous, can’t recommend Ian & Hazel highly enough! I met Ian at a wedding fair at the West Tower and instantly loved his documentary style of photography. I had been to previous weddings where much of the day was spent posing for photos which is not something I relished the idea of. His approach was very natural and not imposing at all. The day started with Ian going to my husband-to-be’s house while Hazel came to my house to capture all the ‘getting ready’ photos. Throughout the day we had a mixture of posed photos (they will accommodate whatever photos you like) and they blended into the background for the rest of the day until after our first dance.

The photos post wedding were available by the time we came back from honeymoon and they were amazing! Ian was in touch regularly and provided us with an online link to the photos which was a fantastic way to be able to share photos with relatives and friends and gave them a chance to purchase photos directly without having to order them through me.

Putting the wedding album together was something I found a little daunting, I wanted it to be just perfect and with so many (hundreds) of amazing photos to choose from I was really struggling to whittle down to a practical number of photos for an album, cue Ian, who again was on hand to help and spent time with us going through the photos one by one to tell the story of our day until we had created our perfect album.

I really appreciated the regular communication throughout the process and my husband and I really are delighted at the photo memories that we have of our special day. More...

We first met Ian at one of West Tower's wedding open evenings. As soon as we saw examples of his work we knew he was the photographer for our wedding, and reserved the date there and then.
We have been to a few weddings over the past couple of years and we knew exactly what we did and didn't want in a photographer. Luckily our ideas were shared with Ian's.

Ian and Hazel were the perfect match for us. This was assured when we met them for our pre-wedding shoot. The pictures were beautiful, we felt at ease, and it was reassuring to meet Ian and Hazel, and get to know them more. Our chosen picture was signed by our guests on the big day and is displayed on our landing at home.

Hazel came to my parents house on the morning of the wedding and Ian met Chris and the guests at the venue. We barely noticed either of them on the day, which you only realise once you see your finished pictures, and notice how relaxed and natural the guests and of course we looked.
Ian and Hazel presented us with a gorgeous surprise during the wedding breakfast; a bundle of instax pictures, perfectly wrapped with care and capturing the day brilliantly. We have since find a frame so we can have them up at home.
We have received amazing compliments on our wedding pictures, and of course our album (which there was no rush to finalise). Family and friends have said "it's the best and nicest wedding album they've ever seen".

Chris and I would, and have recommended Ian and Hazel to any couple.
If there's a special event that we want to capture in the future we hope to be able to work with them again to celebrate more special moments.

Wow! Thank you Ian and Hazel for so many amazing photographs of our wedding day. There are over 600 photographs and we love every single one. Caroline and I couldn't be happier.
